Works great, no problems, dries fast

I use this for small gaps between the planks in my hardwood floor and to correct small dents and splintering on small woodworking projects. I'm a complete novice and just watch YouTube videos to figure out WTF I am doing and have generally very limited patience and just want my projects done. Anyway, that's exactly why this product is great - for the small gaps I have used this product to fill, it does the job. It dries in maybe 15 minutes - I haven't actually timed it, but I usually apply some on the damaged area, leave for a while, then come back and sand it down smooth before covering with my stain or topcoat or whatever. It sands perfectly fine and I honestly can't tell the difference against my natural maple wood (which is the only wood I've used this on now that I think about it) unless I inspect it closely with a magnifying glass like inspector gadget or something, but again, I don't have time for that.A side note, I read some reviews saying the product doesn't dry or they have to leave it for 12 hours and it's still not dry. Well, you have to apply a thin layer, remove the excess, and use on smaller patch repair type projects - don't try and recreate an entire piece of wood or use this to replace a giant chunk out of a piece of wood and then act surprised when it doesn't dry in 15 minutes - it's not magic. You're going to need a resin filler or something for a project like that, not a water-based wood & grain filler...

Great product

I like that it is water base, easy to work with, NO toxic oder actually has a very mild short lived nice scent. I used it on a frame for a painting filling in gaping mitered corners. It's buildable, can go back and add more product if needed while still damp or dry. It worked great for my needs on my particular project. All around easy product to work with, and easy minimal clean up.

Excellent

Serious product. Water base. Close match to wood.

Head and shoulders above the rest.

Creamy, not gritty like others I have used. Goes on easily. Dries in no time. Sands like a dream. Although not always quite a perfect match, takes stain soooo much better than any I have used in the past. After I am done staining, if there are any areas that I would like to be a little darker, I lightly daub then with a stain marker, wipe it off immediately and repeat if necessary. It's a very close match without touching it up, but I am a perfectionist. Everything I have done with this filler has come out perfectly. I also used it to fill in a large area after a nail gun shot two mangled nails simultaneously and a big chunk of the window sill came out in pieces when removing them. I wish I had thought to take a before and after pic, because with a few layers of the filler and a little work, that area is absolutely invisible, even with the sun shining right on it, which saved having to rip out and replace a 7’ window sill.I also tried mixing a small amount of it with a couple drops of stain and using it for nail hole filler. Worked great!I apply it with my fingers and wipe flush. Any haze left around the hole after it is dry is easily wiped away with a damp cloth. The jar is plastic and flexes just a tiny bit, and the cap sometimes seems like it loosens as it sits, but it does say if it dries out, water can be added. It is on the expensive side, but there is no comparison. I am very happy with this product.Edit 3/2024: I do quite a bit of woodworking and am on my third jar of this AMAZING product. When it becomes a little dry - and it will over time - all it needs is a drop or two of water, a quick stir and it is good to go. I am able to use 100% of the product in the jar. Also-the window sill I repaired shows no signs of shrinking or cracking. Poly topcoat is perfect. Full sun on this sill.

Great all around so far

First picture is before, second picture is after. We had new hardwood installed in our new home, and the installer did a horrible job, and we ended up with some 3/4 inch gaps throughout. This area particularly is very noticeable bc it’s in a main traffic flow part of the house, and would drive me crazy. Am I still mad about the poor job, yes, did this make me feel a lot better about it until we can afford to get it all fixed, ABSOLUTELY! I would definitely recommend this. I ordered the white oak, and as you can see it’s a pretty good match (maybe a tiny bit too orange, but we have very light floors so maybe not). As far as some saying it didn’t spread well, if you add the right amount of water, it goes into the cracks very easily. I left it pretty dry, which made it more work, but I wanted to pack as much in as I could. And then, when I wiped off the excess with a warm wet towel, similar to when you’re tiling, it made it more wet, and then I ran a finger along the crack, like you would when caulking, and didn’t touch it after that. It’s been a few days, and so far so good, no noticeable cracking, as it says it’s supposed to be able to flex with the expansion of natural wood with varying temps. We live in the mid west so may not be so reliable in warmer/dryer areas, just saying. I do plan to be careful when mopping in these areas though, so not to mop it out every time I go over it. I would highly recommend this, it works great as long as you choose the right color, and follow the instructions!

Ok I guess.

It's all kinda hard in the container, and you gotta mix it with water, and even then there's still lots of little chunks. Hard to use. You can't even stir it it's so hard. Once you go through all that work then it's decent. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but I would not buy again.

Hardwood floor filler

The media could not be loaded. We have solid 2” thick pine floors with no tongue and groove. We needed something to fill the gaps. This product went down very smoothly. If I put too much on the wood it just came off with water. Sanded pretty easily too with a hand sander. I’m not sure how it will hold up but so far it works wonderful. Put three coats of polyurethane over the product.Does not mix easily because it’s thick but it is smooth and went on easily. It comes pre mixed.
