Used for a science fair project
I used this with a student's science fair project-- the UV detector picked up the highest UV rating with a blacklight bulb. The student measured UV on the other side of a pane of glass with different sunscreens on the glass. Great product! Simplifies UV measurement quite a bit.

Excellent for the price! I purchased this for a science project. We'd had a different brand that was okay, but this UV meter is much better. No, it's not the greatest UV reader on the planet, but for the price and the purpose of an elementary science fair project, this product is great!

Works well and at a good price
It has been interesting to see how UV light transmits through windows (car sunroof and windshield; home), pieces of clothing, glasses, etc. Avoid skin cancer!

Doesn’t detect UVB bulbs.
Product won’t detect uvb bulbs or overcast UV days

Measure UV
I like the simple function of measuring the UV level of sun exposure directly, but at this point, after recently receiving the UV detector which is also a multifunction device, I am not sure whether it actually responds properly to the transmittivity of fabrics.So far I have not been able to figure out the instructions for the other functions.
