Install Bay BTT Blue Insultion Displacement T-Tap Connector 16-14 Gauge - 100 Pack

Works great. I used them to tap into Malibu light cord. That cord has pretty thick insulation, so I didn't know if this was going to work. Snapped together with a pair of pliers without a single failure. I'm happy. Unless you have them already like I did, you also need to buy crimp-on blade/spade connectors too. These connectors are the taps with an available slot for the spade.

I have been using Install Bay parts for years. A great reputation in this industry. Well earned. If you are working on a project that requires you to splice into factory wiring, this is the best part you can buy.

I dont like to use this type of splice for everything but when you need it theres nothing but these to use so i have them... but i haven't needed them yet... they look to be quality...

I used to think that tap splice connectors were great. I don't know why I never knew these existed until I saw my buddy use them. No more trying to keep the tap splice in place while holding the other wire in the other side while simultaneously trying to crimp it. No now I can just slap this on the wire I want to tap and smash the connector down and hook up a male connector on the other wire and done. So much less stressful.

I did a lot of splicing on my car. Adding an auto-dimm mirror, had to splice into the sunroof power. Added fog and DRL, splicing into the head light wiring. I used this and the 22/18 G connectors. Much better than the connectors that came with my kits, which are the ones that you permanently crimp the wires in. These T-taps are actual connectors, that can be unplugged when used with female insulated connectors.

I use these often on my car accessories installs. They are easy to use and leaves my wiring clean.Also check out the red ones for thinner wires.

I can't buy these locally. They work great. I prefer these T-Tap connectors over other products. You can actually take your voltmeter to check if you have a good connection before inserting the spade into the slot.
