Amazon Brand – Pinzon Luxury Reversible Cotton Bath Mat - 30 x 50 inch, White

I loved it when I bought it mid-April. Great size, thickness, price was fantastic. Now it's August and it's going in the trash. I'm not sure if I wash rugs more or less than the normal person, but this has been washed every 3-4 weeks in cold water since I bought it. It's a white rug, I'm a tidy person, I like it to look clean and bright. The first few times, it made a MESS in my wash. No big deal, things shed, I cleaned up all the extra stuff that came off it and moved on with my day. It seemed to happen less as time went on. Well, as I washed it yesterday I took a closer look at it, and it seems like it's shedding less because there are already bald spots in several areas on both sides of the rug. That's not awesome.Yes, the price is great for what you get. If you don't mind replacing it every 3-4 months and at the end of it having spent $60 plus on a bathroom rug in the course of a year, then by all means, go for it. But right now I can't even rebuy this rug (if I wanted to), because it's a 2-3 month wait to get a new one. So I have to start all over and find a new rug in this size. I'm not delighted. As the adage goes, you get what you pay for.....

this bathmat is luxurious for the price. it’s actually quite heavy which signifies to me that the density of the fibers explains its softness. over time, it does flatten a bit but it does its job. it’s just comfortable to stand on out of the shower or at the sink, and it’s the perfect size for me! it does get quite dirty trapping all sorts of gunk and stains because i’m messy, but tossing it into the washing machine has worked quite well so far

Update after many washings - Nov 3 2013. This rug has NOT held up. VERY dissappoited. It is not all that I had hoped and ironically the Pottery Barn rug has held up better. Pinzon I recomend you do some benchmarking and QA. The whole color issue has gotten worse as well. Your PD has a way to go yet. I will not buy another till you guys get oyur act together.=================================I received the Pinzon bath rug today. The size is great - big bang for the buck. The quality upon first inspection appears solid, the specs measure out exact, no plus or minus to call out on the measurements compared to the description. The true test will be to see how it launders. I will re-post if able upon that topic after the first wash. Another bath rug by a well-known brand looked good upon initial inspection as well but failed miserably in the first, and sadly subsequent washings. The binding on the edges is good and a better treatment than on versions by other name brands, though it remains to see how the actual turned under edges will also hold up in washings.From a design aspect the alternating weaves make a nice visual appeal and offer a great way to display in the bathroom. The negative about this product is the color. The white is very dingy... very dingy, appears almost dirty or used. It should come in a nice optical white. The two types of yarn details make the dinginess more noticeable as there is a significant shade band effect where the weaves and textures vary. This does not happen (as much) with the same product by known brands as this advertises to compare to. I am keeping this product to see how it maintains. I would like to see the Pinzon Product Development team as they grow and mature understand details such as the color better.

Looks great in my bathroom, but it does slip around a bit, so be careful of that. It does not have a non-slop bottom because it is reversible. But I like that I can flip it over to the other side, especially when one side gets dirty and I haven't had time to wash it. I have washed it in the washer and drier and it comes out great!

I've owned this and the smaller version for 6 years (both white). I wash them every two weeks using hottest setting with a little bleach. They have held up fabulously. Love the fact they are two sided. They are very comfortable. We are buying more for our new bigger bathroom.

it's awesome, but caution, it is so big it is hard to wash. it was too heavy for the washing machine ...ie...i didn'tt cycle and was wet as the bottom fo the machine..and then of course you can't put it in the dryer either. But, all was fine, i just washed it in the bathtub, hung it up on side of tube to drain then put in front of the fan.,,,nbd. love it

Huge, fluffy bath mat! Fits my whole (albeit small) bathroom from sink to toilet and shower!The con was that the mats are usually out of stock. I think I had a reminder set on my phone for a few months before this one came back in stock. Also, why do the colors all cost different prices?

The size of this mat is great but since it is cotton it is very heavy when you wash it. Takes several days to dry when you hang it. I don't put it in my dryer because of the weight. I use it for my dog to sleep on go it gets a lot of dog hair which doesn't always come out. It would be a great bath mat. I love the feel of it on my feet. Both sides are really nice.

Big and so soft awesomeness quality looks so good in my bathroom. The reversible option is so good too.
