Smooth, light weight, well made.
I haven't knit in years but wanted to knit a hat for myself. I tried using my old metal needles but could not tolerate them being sooooo cold for my fingers and hands. So for the price, I thought I try these bamboo needles. I finished the first hat right away. And I'm making another one.Overall, I am impressed with the set. I think the smaller sizes may almost be too fragile. But I am not working with baby weight yarn anyway. The narrowest needles are slightly bowed though I don't plan to use them. So it doesn't really matter to me.I've been working on the size 7 needles with 4 ply 100% worsted weight wool. There is no problem with splitting the yarn. The needle tips are pointy enough. And is no snagging of the yarn on the bamboo. If I lost the set I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

decent collection
i bought these needles because:a) so cheap!b)i'm a newer knitter and i'd like to fill in my collectionc)so cheap! how bad can they be? i like bamboo needles!i have not tried out all the needles yet, and i've only opened a few from their individual packages and i've only tried out the size eights. the needles are smooth, i havent noticed any serious rough points, although thats only looking at the packaging. the size 15s, one of the needles the point is not uniformly made-one side of it slopes shorter than the other, which is weird.they are not polished, however, which means that while bamboo needles are classically slower to work with, they are even slower than the takumi clover needles, which are polished and therefore grab onto the yarn to a lesser degree than these. however, if you are a beginner who has problems with dropping stitches and stuff, i suggest these. the points are the same degree of sharpness as clovers, and they look fairly similar. if you are someone who likes to have extra needles, and wants to have every size available all in one shot, get these. the size is burned into the needle quite legibly, although i suggest using a sharpie marker on the end to write the size so its easily viewable. (i do this with all my needles, much easier)overall, i really cant complain for the price and i'd recommend.

Great Needles, Great Price
I love these needles. They are smooth but not slick like metal, and they have a lovely light and warm feel. I enjoy knitting with them; I feel like I have more control than I did with metal (I don't live in fear of dropping stitches anymore). I no longer have a death grip on my needles. I'm a relatively new knitter and I needed a starter set, so this was perfect. It's much less less expensive than some other brands and you get more sizes. I have no issues with quality, these are great needles. I have used several sizes so far for small projects.Just a thought...if you are a tight knitter, you probably won't like bamboo needles very well just in general. You will have more trouble moving the yarn along the needle and working into your stitches than you would with metal. I don't knit loose but not tight either so they are great for me. I would have no problem buying this brand again, and in fact I will probably get the longer set at some point for making larger projects.

Really wanted to like these, but...
This set was recommended to me as a good value. I agree that the price is excellent, but I'm getting increasingly (ha, no pun intended!) disappointed with the needles. One of the size 7's arrived visibly warped. That's one of my most-used sizes! Luckily for me, I have another pair of that size, so I didn't make an issue out of it.But another problem arose last night as I was knitting with the size 6...a little splinter came out of the tip of one, and it started to snag my yarn. I'm no expert, but I don't think that should happen! Again, luckily, I have another pair of 6's, so I could keep on going, but I'm starting to get a little annoyed at the low quality of these needles. They were only $25, but I could have spent that money toward a better set, had I known.I think in this case, it seems like you get what you pay for.

Great Set O' Knitting Needles
I purchased this set in 2018 and slowly falling in love with it. Sharper points than other name brand bamboo needles (which I prefer), smooth surface, ultra light weight, sizes stamped on needles are clear, easy to see. It did not have sizes stamped on the stoppers, so I wrote number on it, easier for me rummaging to find the size I need, especially where I store them in a cup. I wish Stanwood Needlecraft makes circular needles.

As Good as if not Better than Takumi/Clover
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these needles. I already own a pair of Takumi/Clover brand bamboo needles. Other reviewers had mentioned how their yarn catches on these needles; however this is very much not the case with the set I received. Very fine, finished quality. For the price I was expecting to have to sand them myself. No need, they're all in beautiful shape. I was hoping for something comparable. These have a finer finish, the end cap has been sealed, which was not case on the other brand. This is important in my area due to our high humidity. Very soft, durable, and very good variety of sizes. Better than I expected. Arrived in less than a week with the Super Saver shipping even to my small town. We'll see how they hold up over time, but so far I'm very happy with the product quality and value.

OK for the low cost
Some needles were a bit warped, a top fell off of one needle, and several tips required that I sanded them. I like the needles and I easily re-attached the top and sanded the tips that required it. But some remain warped. I would probably buy again.

Okay, but like U-nitt better
I ordered these just minutes before I saw that U-nitt had the same sizes and number of needles for about a penny difference here on Amazon. I am a big fan of U-nitt. I have their dpns and fixed circular sets. So I then ordered the U-nitt set also and decided I'd compare the two products when they arrived. As I expected, the U-nitts had a better quality, feel and sharper points. These by Oriental Touch are going back today. You may like these, but I find them "clunky" and not as streamline as the U-nitt's.

Good overall, but I found when using really thick ...
Good overall, but I found when using really thick yarn that sometimes it would snag a bit on the wood.
