YXwin 6 in 1 USB C HubWhen this arrived I found it packaged securely within a double lined strong cardboard box, so no fear of this being damaged in the post. On removing the contents I was immediately impressed by the apparent quality of this six in one hub. The hub is quite small and slender, measuring just 9.9cm x 4.4cm x 1.4cm. For such a compact hub it really is quite weighty, weighing in at 86.2 grams. The reason for this is that the body of the hub is made from aircraft grade aluminium which has a matt brushed dark silver finish to it.The hub offers six various inputs, these are -3 X USB 3.0 ports with a data transmission speed up to 5Gbps1 X RJ45 Ethernet Port which supports 100Mbps/10Mbps1 X 4K Ultra HD HDMI port1 X USB C portThe build quality of this is excellent having very little plastic used in it's construction! As mentioned above, the outer shell is metal so it's very strong indeed. The inner core ends seem to be a plastic type material, this looks to be made of good quality plastic which is unlikely to cause any problems. The main body of the hub is rounded on the sides, giving a nice neat appearance. Where the ports are located either side of the hub there is a flat recess so that when you pick it up it sits nicely in the hand without fear of dropping it. This recess also ensures that any cables that are plugged into the ports will insert fully thus giving maximum electrical contact.The cut-outs for each port on the outer casing are accurate and tidy with no sharp edges whatsoever, each internal port is lined up precisely so all cables push in with ease. Each cable I inserted plugged in without effort, they were held firmly without any sloppiness at all, giving a perfect connection at all times.The main cable of the hub is fairly short measuring in at just 14 centimetres, this ensures that the hub will sit neatly beside your laptop without flopping around as can happen with similar lightweight plastic versions. This short cable combined with the weight of the hub mean that this sits very securely on your desk without moving around every time a cable is moved. This main cable looks to be good quality, it's quite stiff so it will generally stay in the position that you set. The cable outer casing is made from a rubber type material, it's also quite thick and looks to be well shielded. The cable enters both the hub and Type C plug via two strong rubber inserts which help ensure that the cable is tight and secure. The Type C plug also appears to be made from metal and again is good quality.In use I found this performed without issue, each cable that was inserted into the hub pushes in easily and firmly. The signal remains constant even if the cables are wiggled violently. Temperature wise, this does not seem to become hot even with all ports used, although I rarely use all ports at the same time. I am most impressed by the build quality of this hub, I do get a feeling that this will stand the test of time.This is a quality product which does everything that I expect of it. This unit, coupled with Samsung Dex, is a game changer for me. It effectively turns your Samsung Galaxy S10+ in to a mobile office and laptop. It's genuinely very impressive.You can use your phone as a full-screen desktop replacement on a monitor, using HDMI. This unit allows you to charge your phone, connect a keyboard and mouse, and an external hard drive all at the same time. If you have a wireless keyboard and mouse, that works too (at least my Logitech kit does).Even the ethernet port works perfectly, which means you get incredibly fast network usage/downloads/updates, etc. whilst connected to the network. With Dex running on a monitor, all your normal android apps work perfectly, except inside individual windows, just like in Microsoft Windows or a Mac. So you can multitask properly.I know that's a Dex review rather than a review of this item, but it's important to explain just how good Dex is and what the use case is for this unit.Regarding this unit, it's fantastic. It's really light and is about half the size of the phone. It's very well constructed and feels tough, being made of metal rather than plastic. It looks good and it's a great price too. Considerably cheaper than the Samsung official kit.It has 3 USB 3.0 ports, a full size HDMI port which claims 4K (although I haven't test that claim), a USB C port and an Ethernet port on the end. The cable has a USB C plug on the end, which goes in to the phone.Crucially for me, the USB C plug fits perfectly in the phone, even though I have a rugged case around the phone itself. The standard Samsung USB adapter does not fit with a phone case, but this does, which means you don't have to take your phone out of the case to use it.By plugging in the USB C power to the unit, it will charge your phone as you work.Basically, I use mine as a docking station so I can travel light (no laptop), plug in at work and use my phone perfectly all day long on a full size monitor.When I'm ready to leave, I just unplug my phone and go. It's 100% charged ready for the journey home and all my files and work is right where I left it on the phone. I can continue working on the train.I promise you, it's a game changer. It's the best purchase I've made on Amazon in ages. I'm going to buy another one for home!

I bought this USB Type C hub to plug in to a Dell XPS 13 to provide HDMI for an external monitor, RJ45 for gigabit ethernet and 3 USB3 sockets (mouse, keyboard, additional storage) and to charge the laptop via the PD port on the hub: ie to use it as a 1 connection docking station for the laptop.The good: the hub is very well built with a metal case and sturdy cable and connector that should mean that it provides a long life. Performance is good - there is no lag on the external monitor or the keyboard/mouse. Using external USB3 storage is quick too so it works well for the purpose I bought it for. Networking has not presented any issues.So why only 4 stars? There are some things to think about when using it:The hub uses some power so my laptop was not completely happy with the 45W Dell power adaptor (supplied with the laptop) plugged in to the hub, reporting that there wasn't enough power getting to the laptop. An upgrade to a Dell 90W adaptor fixed this.When using all the functions simultaneously, including charging the laptop, the hub gets hot. Properly hot. The metal casing is obviously the heat sink for the electronics inside but when working hard, the hub gets too hot to touch - and that is on a pretty clear desk with no papers or other stuff on or around the hub. I will certainly be keeping the space around it empty for safety purposes...A good product that I am happy to recommend.

Ho comprato questo prodotto per sostituire un adattatore Type-C HDMI che mi ha abbandonato dopo pochi mesi.Il prodotto si presenta molto robusto, di un bel materiale, piacevole al tatto.Presenta tre porte USB 3, una porta HDMI, una Ethernet.La porta Ethernet, basata su chip Realtek RTL8153, riconosciuta al volo sia su Win10 che su Linux, dove supporta anche la modalità promisqua utile in determinate situazioni di debug reti (ne avevo comprata apposta una poco tempo fa)L'HDMI supporta senza problemi sia il mio monitor 2K a 60Hz che vari televisori HDready e FullHD (non ho purtroppo ancora dei 4K)Funziona al primo colpo sia sul pc del lavoro (Dell 3530) che sul mio laptop "da battaglia" un Lenovo Ideapad 720S

Moin Leute.Kurzfassung: Gutes Produkt, Kaufempfehlung!1. Design und Verarbeitung:Die Dockingstation ist klein und handlich, passt also immer und überall mit rein. Das gehäuse und auch das ende des usb-c steckers sind aus metall, wodurch das gerät erstaunlich hochwertig wirkt. Generell ist die verarbeitung super, keine ecken oder überstehenden verschnitte, der metallrahmen schließt sauber mit dem rest chassis ab. Ebenso macht das kabel einen soliden eindruck aufgrund seiner dicken isolierung.2. Funktion:Alle Anschlüsse machen das, was sie sollen: sie funktionieren und übertragen die geforderten daten einwandfrei. heißt im klartext: der lanport lässt die von meinem router maximale kapazität (200mbit/s) problemlos durch, der usb-c ladeport lädt meinen laptop und mein externer bildschirm bekommt sein bild genauso vom hdmi port, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. auch die drei usb-a ports funktionieren selbstverständlich, wobei ich auf die nicht so angewiesen bin, aber ich habe sie der vollständigkeit wegen mal getestet.3. Fazit:Der 6 in 1 type c usb adapter von yxwin hat mich voll überzeugt. der preis ist angemessen, verarbeitung und qualität stimmen. in meinen augen definitiv eine kaufempfehlung für alle, die genau diese anschlüsse brauchen und nicht mehr.Grüße an alle interessenten, Lukas

Ero alla ricerca di un Hub USB che comprendesse rete, video e porte USB A ad un buon prezzo, l'inclusine di una porta type c per far passare la ricarica è un ottima aggiunta. L'oggetto e piccolo, ben costruito con un involucro in quello che sembra alluminio e un cavo con type c di una decina di centimetri; l'impressione in mano è di un prodotto di qualità. L'idea era di utilizzarlo su un Chromebook Acer Tab 10 e con mia grande sorpresa il CB ha rilevato tutte le porte dell'hub senza alcuna difficolta compresa la rete cablata. L'unico neo è che la ricarica che arriva dal dispositivo hub, collegandolo tra l'alimentatore e il CB, è a bassa potenza quindi mantiene la carica ma non la incrementa. Con tutte le porte al lavoro l'hub scalda leggermente.

(Eins vorweg, erst seit ein paar Stunden im Einsatz...)bis jetz funktioniert alles wunderbar.Ist angeschlossen an mein ThinkPad: Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0 (an einem weiteren aktiven Hub mit Maus/Tastatur, Mikrofon , Logitech C920 Pro Kamera, USB-Stick und -Festplatte) Sowie einem Monitor mit 1440p-Auflösung.Ich habe nun nur noch ein Kabel mit dem Notebook verbunden, was den Aufwand minimiert, da ich zuvor inkl. dem fummeligen Netzwerksteckers 5 Verbindungen am Gerät hatte.Alles tadellos, selbst Laden über USB-C funktioniert. Der Hub/die Dock wird dabei auch etwas warm.. nicht unangenehm, gerade noch so, dass man das Teil in der Hand halten kann.Lediglich bei der Teams-Webkonferenz hatte ich das Gefühl, dass diese Dock etwas zu langsam war. das Bild hat geruckelt und hatte kurze Ausssetzer. ABER: Das kann auch an der Auslastung der Server gelegen haben, bin mir noch nicht sicher.Die Verarbeitung scheint hervorragend und das Aluminiumgehäuse fühlt sich gut an.UPDATE:Nach einigen Monaten der Benutzung im HomeOffice, kann ich keinerlei Schwächen am Gerät feststellen. Es läuft super. Scheinbar waren die SChwierigkeiten am Anfang der Entwicklung von Teams geschuldet.Das einzige, was u.U. etwas negativ ist... man könnte sicherlich Eier auf dem kleinen Gerät braten, bei der Wärme, die es produziert.... aber ansonsten: Klare Kaufempfehlung.
