Ideal way to extend a cable.

What's the best price I could find so I bought these they seem to do the job and data communication goes through leaving the charging so all is good

Works for 96W power draw on late-2019 macbook pros with one major gotcha: they've taken a standard USB-C which has a symmetrical plug designed so you don't need to care which side is up, and made it so the dongle only works for power if you plug it the correct way around.With two directions for two plugs and two longitudinal directions for the dongle that's presumably 8 different ways you can plug the device in, and as far as I can tell only one way will work, with no indicator to tell if you have it right.Since most laptops will charge on lower-than-100W power providing they're not working too hard, you have absolutely no way to tell if you have this set up correctly to draw power when you most need it.I had to set my laptop to do some compute and graphics intensive work to ensure it was drawing full power, and then keep crawling back under my desk to twist cables until I got the magic combo right and the icon in the task bar finally said I wasn't running on battery power.TL;DR: it works just fine, but it's a complete pain-in-the-battery to set up correctly.
