They work but not on completly rounded out nuts or bolt heads
These don't work on rounded nuts or bolts but they work great on removing whole or broken studs effortlessly. If you don't have a welding pack or another way to remove broken studs that have enough meat left to grab these will save you the headache of having to get a washer and nut to weld on in order to back out the stud. I had to cut the nut off on the project I needed this set for but I they did save me the headache of removing the stud.

Holds firm, worked great
Worked great on a rounded bolt. Cut into bolt and held firm. I should have bought this years ago. (or I should stop rounding bolts...)

5 stars
These work exceptionally well. Used gw first.. they didn't work. Used these right after and the bolt came out right away. Not sure the difference between the two, but I do know these worked better.

Should have bought a set of these years ago
Using many tricks I've learned over almost 50 years of working on all types of equipment utilizing nuts and bolts I've always been able to remove a damaged fastener and I've never needed extractors such as these. That is until last week. I came across an unusual bolt, 18mm-1.5 x 50, with a very short 17mm head (weird, right?) that appears to have been torqued to approximately 200 lb-ft that had been damaged so bad, none of the tricks I have in my arsenal were working. Not having a welder available as a last resort to weld a new nut to the head I ordered these. Now I can not say that another similar set wouldn't have had the same result, but I can tell you that in a matter of seconds the extractor I used from this set made easy work of that damaged fastener. Just pounded it onto the head of the bolt, gave it an ooga-dooga, and voila, the damaged bolt was no longer a problem. And it appears that the extractor itself suffered no damage at all. The time and effort these extractors could have saved me over the years using those old tricks is immeasurable. Do yourself a favor and buy these, or a similar set. You won't be disappointed.

A no nonsense, immediately results tool!
As you can see in the first two pictures, this triple square bolt stripped pretty bad inside. What you can also see is that it is no longer bolted to anything. It took me only two tries, but the bolt came off in less than sixty seconds total and I replaced right away. I tried a few other methods like hammering-in a larger socket, locking pliers, and even my Knipex dual grip pliers, but the outside of the bolt's head is already as round as it can be.Aside from the ease of use and efficiency, these socket are pretty sturdy. The last two pictures show how the 10mm socket I used still looks like brand new after serving its purpose. Another solid recommendation from Project Farm!

Awesome product
I don't do reviews very often, but this is a remarkable product. I don't know how I've been a mechanic for 35 years and have not had these. I got these for the rusted valve cover bolts on a 5.4 Triton. They performed flawlessly, beat them on, and take the bolt out. It's that simple, top notch quality. Worth every cent if you live in the rust belt. Don't go with the Chinese one, they're junk. These are American made, and they work and feel like it.
