I recently bought a 55" LG and needed a wall mount for it. A friend of mine told me to check out Amazon as the prices for the mounts were way better than store bought. After doing some research, I ended up deciding on the Mount-It! Universal because it would fit my TV, the price was great and the back plate was one peice (I saw quite a few with a 2 piece back plate and both had to be leveled and mounted seperately ; looked like a hassle). I did see the one review that mentioned it was difficult to reach the knobs to adjust the tilt, but that wasn't a concern of mine because once I have it up, I don't see the need to ever have to tilt it on a regular basis.Ordered the mount, it was delivered very quickly and it was very simple to mount on the wall. The only thing I did was replace the lag bolts as all of my friends with large flat screens recommended that. Cheap to buy 6, so why not take some advice that multiple people gave me? Found the studs, drilled the pilot holes and cranked the lag bolts in. a long level helped me get it straight. Brackets were very easy to install on the back of the TV. Lifting the TV up off it's original swivel base was probably the hardest part of it all. And that wasn't really that difficult. Top of the brackets fit right onto the mount, the locking screws underneath were easy to tighten and I could reach the knobs to loosen them to get the right angle I wanted and then tighten again. Locking screws were a little tighter fit to get to than the knobs (only because it was less than an inch from the wall), but those are locked and I don't ever have to deal with them unless I take the TV down, which I don't plan on anytime soon. Cables fit with no problem in the back without any angled adapters. I had tilted the TV up as much as it would go and I could see the connections with no issues. Once it was all plugged in, I tilted it forward, locked the knobs and moved my entertainment center back against the wall.I would definitely recommend this mount to anyone as it was affordable, well built, easy to install and is rock solid when installed properly.

This review is for the Mount-It! Premium Universal Heavy-Duty Tilt Mount.We moved into a new house so we needed to get a mount because we didn't have room for an entertainment console. I have a LG 60" Plasma TV and looked up and found this product online. I mounted the TV myself, I just needed a few people to actually clip the TV on the mount since it was so high.This is made extremely durable from the touch to the performance. 6 screws into the studs of your wall and this thing is STUCK. Very important to make sure you hit your studs of it will rip right out of the wall. You will notice if you miss of not.*Optional design tip* If possible to run wires behind the TV through the walls, take the opportunity to do this now. The previous owner cut a whole and ran cables through the dry wall (HDMI and ethernet so it makes it extremely clean looking VS a bunch of cables running everywhere that looks terrible. Forget doing wireless, just plug in via ethernet for lagless streaming. I will post a picture of my setup that works at my house, but it looks really clean and slick. YMMV tho based on setup.1. Measure twice and use your own level. The level built in sucks and is completely wrong. I followed it the first time and it was all lopsided.2. Buy the magnet level they have on Amazon and save a boat load of money vs a electronic one. They are like $7 bucks and last forever. I have used it many many many times.3. Use an impact driver if you have it. This will make drilling into the stud tolerable. Way better than your standard drill. Good luck if you are doing it by hand.4. Dont forget to slide the safety bar after you have the TV on the wall AND drill the screws into the back of it so there is no chance that it comes off.I plan on mounting another TV in my gameroom and I have a strong feeling that this will be the mount that I choose again.5/5

I had a really odd situation on my TV Wall. The previous owner did some remodeling and the wall I was using for the TV had odd spacing with the Studs so the magnitude of wall mounts came up too short at 27-29in wide. Save yourself the hassle of trying to find anything wider in Stores like Walmart or Bestbuy. You likely won't find anything wider than 29in unless you plan on paying for maybe one of those super expensive kind that pivot multiple angles and have an arm on it. When this mount arrived it was exactly what I needed to get my TV mounted. I consider all the parts to be of great quality. Very happy with the cost and quality of this wall mount!One word of caution: The mount has a built in level. Double check this with your own level because mine seem to be off a little bit.

The mount was good. Easy to install. Looks strong. Followed the directions and was able to install quickly. Was quickly able to mount my 65 inch TV. All the screws were provided along with the washers required. The inbuilt level was accurate and matched with my external level. Overall the product is good and hope it lasts without warping due to the weight of the TV.I had two concerns which would have helped to move my review to 5 stars:1. My studs are 16 inch apart but one of the stud is right in the center. Unfortunately, there is no way to screw this to the center stud as there are no mounting holes in the center and the positioning covers the whole of my center stud.As a result, I had to mount this using the 2 outer studs. So now the Mount is screwed to the wall at a 32 inch width. I am a little concerned with the plate warping in the middle. Will need to periodically check if there is any warping.Would have a preferred a mounting hole in the middle of the plate as well and that would have made it perfect for my needs2. After the TV is mounted there is no way tighten the lower screws as there is no space to get behind the TV. Would have preferred a spring loaded tightening mechanism with a pull string. For now, I have left it as it is until I can get a longer screwdriver to tighten the screwsOverall a good mount !!

Simple and mindful design and economic to purchase

Very good and sturdy mount. Arrived fast and with a lot of accessories (you can't use them all but they are shipped to fit all kind of tv's, curved ones included). The wall plate print is kinda big, making it difficult to place wall plate around it without being seen if you have a smaller than 50in tv. The only logical place is to use is the four wall plate openings.The wall plate is not perfectly manufactured. Don't use the embedded level, use a professional one. The plate will reach 3 studs so you can hook it really safe. Don't use the supplied lag bolts, they are too big and if you are not centered on your stud, will chip away the wood. Use 2 in wood screws like no. 12.The brackets are not perfect either. But they are ajustables. You'll need a friend or two to mount your tv on the wall. And at least 3 tests with you tv hooked to check if everything is OK.Pro: sturdy and solid, keeps tv very close to the wall (bottom part less than 3in if tilted), hooks to 3 studs instead of two, many usefull accessories included for all kind of TVs, quick delivery and very good price.Cons: Not perfect engineered and manufactured. You'll need to replace the wall mounting bolts and use a level at all times. Some wall plates can be in plan bent, which will make difficult to adjust everything.
