When I purchased this, I thought it was a Daiwa. After I received it, I looked at the reel and noticed the brand was off. So I looked back on Amazon and seen that it was not the brand I wanted but was going to give it a try. So I started Messi g with it, and looking it, when I noticed that one of the covers was loose. So I tried to tighten it but the plastic was still loose. That's when I decided to return it and go with MY brand.

This reel holds lots of line and the drag is powerful, not as smooth as the Penn pursuit 2 which is also 15 bucks cheaper. I bought this reel for surf fishing but when the spool goes up the distance to fill the bottom of it there is a lot of internals that seem to be too exposed for saltwater. I was fishing a pier and had no problems, but this will be a freshwater catfishing reel for me and I'm sure it will put a hurting on some biguns.
