Fate Stay Night Heaven's Feel: Presage Flower BLU-RAY Standard Edition [2019]

Beautifully Animated
I’ll start by saying Heavens Feel is my least favourite route, I much prefer the relationship between Shirou & Sabre first, then Rin, I’m just not a huge fan of Sakura. Her needy personality is a bit of a turn off, I don’t dislike her, she’s just my least favourite of the girls. But the animation itself is incredible, Ufotable truly are the best animation studio on the planet. There does seem to be an issue with the sound, I had to turn the volume way up on this in order to hear it, don’t know if this is just an issue with my copy or not, but at least there’s sound, the 1st & 2nd Rebuild of Evangelion movies have no sound at all, there’s sound on the special features & menu, but no sound in the movies.Anyway, if you like Fate you’ll like this movie, but don’t watch this movie first if you haven’t watched any of the Stay Night anime, watch Stay Night, then Unlimited Blade Works, then Heavens Feel, then Fate/Zero.

Fate movies don't disappoint.
Ufotable animation is just on another level, bothe the picture and sound quality on this disc is simply stunning. As to the story of the 3 Heavens Feels, they are dark and brutal and the fight scenes are just epic, you've seen the MEME's and you won't be disappointed.

Anime is cool, but Bluray disk is a liitle messed up.
Amazing story, though it is just part 1/3 of full story.Picture is very clear (8 bit color depth);Subtitles: it has 2 subtitles tracks, both english. 1st subtitle track displays nothing, 2nd subtitle track works OK;Audio: it has 2 audio tracks: Japanese and English (both DTS-HD master audio 5.1). English audio track is barely audible. It is OK via headset, but via speakers it is a disaster (almost no sound! ) ...Things that I disliked: disk is playable and story is cool, but bluray disk is still messed up ...Not sure: recording studio recorded that way ?!

Blu ray is a quality item
I have not even watched it yet so this review is box only. The (visual novel) story this is adapted from leaves a lot to imagination so I can not wait to see how, over the course of three films, animating certain aspects of it is approached. Not one but two booklets come with the blu ray. One art and the other interviews. This is worth the inflated price tag of £25 above a disk only movie. It is the best presented movie I ever bought with a nice shiny case to admire at your leisure to boot.

Fantastic!
As is par for the course of this series, Fate Stay Night: Heavens Feel's first movie is a very intriguing first part of a trilogy that adds further insight into the story of the previous Fate adaptations. The next two films literally can't come any sooner for me though as a recommendation it is a terrible place to start in the series as these films are best seen after you have atleast seen Zero and Unlimited Blade Works.

Slow but Enjoyable
It is a well animated film, the only real flaw is it's pascing, which I found to drag on abit. I can't say that any of the scenes can removed to impove the speed, but I feel the film could have been done in have the time. Again the film well animated, and the film does take time to show it off. Overall, I did enjoy this film, and recomend to fans of the Fate series.

Fantastic start to the Heaven's Feel Trilogy
I got the Japanese release (coming out 11 months before this one) but can say that the film is amazing. Some of the best visuals you will see in animation and brilliant storytelling to follow. The 2nd part also kicks ass, but that wont be out for a long time given how long this one took. For £25 this is a steal, the Japanese release cost about £80, but it did come 11 months earlier with better packaging (and English subtitles!).
