Sunbuck Bluetooth 5.0 Audio Amplifier, 2 Channel Compact Stereo System, 250Wx2, RCA/USB/FM, Speaker Receiver AS-29BU

You know when you get a product that exceeds expectations? Doesn't happen very often but I got to tell you something. My old receiver which was absolutely premium in 1973 finally died. For those of you that don't know me, I am really really into music., and I have a really discerning ear. I hear a lot of things especially in music that other people don't necessarily register. My downstairs unit is a '87 JVC component matched system coupled to 2 '87 Bose 501s. Upstairs I did not have a component stereo system but I had the speakers. So I took a chance and bought a receiver off of Amazon for 40 bucks. I expected very little if anything. But the specs were there. Bluetooth, 180 watts per channel, TV input. So I said what the heck and I had a $25 coupon so I ended up paying about 18 bucks for this tiny receiver. I have a pair of Bose 301s and a 1973 pair of 12-in 4-way criterions. These are serious speakers and need to be fed properly to sound right. Well this tiny $40 receiver is absolutely slamming them. I mean my goodness if you have any speakers around your house, I cannot believe the power and quality of this tiny receiver and it hooks up to Bluetooth so I literally have the world's catalog of music through Spotify at my fingertips. It also hooks up to the TV so the sound of movies is getting pumped through a pair of Bose 301s, and is totally immersive. I cannot believe the quality of this receiver, it's a brand I have never heard of, Sunbuck, but holy mackerel what a great piece of equipment. I think I'm going to buy another one for speakers under the bed to go to sleep by and wake up by. The kids absolutely hate it because it practically busts their doors down lol.

Using As: A back porch stereo with decent outdoor speakers. LIKES: I can plug in a CD player or play music on a Bluetooth device such as a phone or TV. It sounds pretty good - as good as I would expect from those speakers. The bass and treble knobs work well. It has FM radio with a telescoping antenna. FM reception is pretty good. DISLIKES: I wish it had a jack for an external antenna but it does not. Also, you can not save stations like a car radio. I could get it to scan for stations but nothing would make it stop on a particular station. Instead, I had to tune it 0.2 at a time like 93.1...93.3 and make a written list of stations that came in clearly. Now I can enter the 3 or 4 digits to select that station and that works fine.MORE LIKES: In addition to FM, CD and BT -> you can ALSO plug in 1 or 2 microphones (or 1 or 2 electric GUITARS or a mic/guitar combination) and either use this as a P.A. system or guitar amp. No need for that Fender Reverb. The Karaoke thing is that you can play one other source - e.g. F.M. or C.D. or BT and sing & play along using the mics and guitars. That would be good to learn guitar to play along with songs. BTW: The Bluetooth is NOT out to speakers. You need speaker wire to go from the Sunbuck to your speakers. Instead, BT means you can wirelessly connect a device and play it through this Sunbuck and through the speakers you have connected to it with speaker wire. Overall- Do not expect heavy duty studio quality but this is well worth the price.

Works and sounds great. Used on my PC with 50-watt speaker.

***Update - right channel is completely dead. I'm past the return period. Will chalk this up to lesson learned and buy something with more of a "brand reputation.***Just purchased this and started using it last month. It's inside an outbuilding on my property. Last week, the right speaker stopped working. At first I thought it was the speaker, but I turned the unit on and off and it worked again. Last night, I picked the receiver up and flipped it around to look at something, and the speaker went off, then came back on. There is no issue with the speaker when I plug it into the Left channel, so my assumption is the right channel is going bad. I will try and clean it and hopefully it will work again. Since this was less than $40, I'm not surprised, but I did hope it would last longer than a month.

It was Christmas and I wanted to upgrade my home office sound system.I combined this amp with a set of "Rockville 2 RockSlim Black Home Theater 5.25" 240w Easy Wall Mount Slim Speakers". The power characteristics matched well between the speakers and the amp.The speakers hide well behind my monitors on the wall. The amp drives these speakers very well without overpowering them.The sound is good wired to my computer system (headphone output to amp). The Bluetooth worked well. My reception for FM is not so good in the office but I was able to pick up a few stations. I have yet to try using a memory card with this and I don't really expect to do so as it isn't the reason that I bought the amp.While I don't know the long-term prospects for this setup, for the price paid this feels like a good deal even if the amp doesn't last a long time.

I bought this amplifier as a temporary replacement for my Skar amp (RIP), but I was shocked to see that this tiny guy could power a WHOLE 15 INCH SUBWOOFER!!! Not just that but it can power 2, 8” woofers (not to be confused with a subwoofer) and a 10” subwoofer! If you think that’s all, WRONG! If you connect it to a splitter, I think it could power 3 Orion hccas! The ONLY problem I have, is the noise it makes when searching for a bt device.For all you IDIOTS out there who don’t know that class D amps are the least efficient: If an amp is not efficient, it will make a subtle humming noise. The more efficient an amp is though, the more sound quality you lose.
