I use these one at a time under the kitchen sink to help keep the area dry that in turn keeps my dishwashing pods from sticking to each other and I can store my SOS pads before they are dry after use - have not needed them in my closets since they are all large with an AC duct in each and where the garage could use some help it is too open so under the sink they go... and just the savings from not having to toss pods is worth the purchase.

I moved to an area that is very high moisture. My closet and bathroom get the worst of it. I have to keep a close eye on my clothes as they get full of mold because of it. This is the reason I purchased Damp Rid. They definitely help. As you can see in the photo it draws the moisture in the air. It can fill up in 3-4 weeks. I realize I will need to use more at a time as I still find mold.I'm not sure if this can stop the issue but I think it does help. It would probably be a lot worse if I didn't use it.

At the end of a couple months all the beads of the top are gone and the water is full in the bottom so what can you not like about it? It works. I put it in my Corvette that I don’t drive a lot, so the moisture doesn’t build up mildew in the car. I use the no scent.

I haven't bought these in quite a while but there used to be a white mesh connected to the cover so the contents would not fall out. I ordered these to use in my car after I found that I had a leak. Ended up putting an old knee high stocking over the top because it tipped over and the little balls went all over the floor. Besides that, it work well.

I have used this product for years and have been perfectly happy with it. However, for this order, all of the 18 containers that I received, were missing the white safety cover that is underneath the foil cover. Once you remove the foil, there is nothing to prevent the granules from spilling out of the container. If you have kids or pets, this is an untenable situation. The foil cover has writing on it instructing you to “leave white safety cover underneath in place”, but no white cover was attached. I spoke with the company and they stated their product was always produced with the white safety cover in place. They had no explanation as to why my entire shipment was missing the cover. They did say that they could not be responsible for any warehouse/subsidiary/associated company/any other entity under the Amazon name that might be repacking their product and being sold on line through Amazon. I will be returning my shipment, but it does make one wonder what is going on, as many (44) of the other reviews mention this missing cover. This was shipped from Amazon, so was a defective supply accidentally purchased and then resold? I have spoken with Amazon and with the DampRid company and neither of them can explain this defect. In the end, it is yet another example of Caveat Emptor. I will buy this product again, but any that are missing the white soft cover, will be returned. I would think that both DampRid and Amazon would care that they were selling and shipping a defective product. It does not help either company’s reputation.

I read reviews most of the time. Reviews make it very clear in this case that there is no white material cover on the top of the container. In my case the tub goes under the sink at the back of the cabinet and I have no kids or pets. Even if I did the placement would make the issue moot. Since I know that this is how the container is packaged I also know enough to handle it accordingly. I have a sink where there was a leak under there from a faucet. The leak had been there for a while so even after I dried it thoroughly there was still a residual odor. These tubs have been great. There is no more odor at all and I’ve had them under there for about a year, switching them out every 30-45 days. I will continue to use this product.

Love this stuff no more mold in closet walls.
