Amazing little box perfect for small items. I use it to store USB flash drives for clients. The little magnet in the lid helps it click into place, and the wood is nice quality and sturdy. Great for holding little gifts, and the price makes it even more of a bang for your buck.

There is also a small magnet at the end of the sliding top to keep the lid in place while it is closed. It is super smooth to open and close. It does not come off even when I shake it. The lid can come off completely when you slide it off in case it matters.I bought this to gift a flash drive full of family photos and I think it's perfect! I think it's also a great way to make sure that the flash drive doesn't go missing. Highly recommend.For reference, the flash drive in the photo is the SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 (dimensions: 0.42 x 0.87 x 0.31 inches).

Sadly, our family dog passed away and with my blessing, others in our family wanted a bit of her cremation remains. I purchased these boxes in hopes that they would be nice enough quality for this purpose. I was pleasantly surprised to find them to be good quality, sturdy and with no flaws. I was also pleased to see the bottom of the boxes were finished wood so I could use it for the top and have the slide on the bottom. To give you a size visual, the plaque I added is 1" x 2 " in size. Great quality boxes. Family loved them and the heartfelt gesture.

Received it and the top simply will not open. Tried to loosen it by slipping a small blade along the back of the lid (which is the only place there was any gap). The lid did not budge, but the cheap wood or veneer at the back crumpled. I was using enough force to scar the wood slightly, since I had accepted that would be necessary, but not nearly enough to break anything. I think the rest of the box -- other than the lid -- would break if I persisted in trying to get it open.

I really like the look of wood instead of plastic containers on my art desk. This larger walnut wood slide top box was perfect for holding my watercolor half pans and the little side compartment fits my fine line painting tools and waterproof pens. I was able to put a 4"x6" magnet sheet under the metallic paint pans so that I could have that section be extra waterproof as well as grip my magnetic half pans for easy swapping out of colors. This gives me an open area that can fit any brand of paint (they come in various pan sizes) and could even store small tubes of paint. Much more freedom than an art supply box made for fitting one particular size. This worked great for me so I bought 2 more. Each had a nice smooth varnished surface and were the easiest to open and close of all the boxes I've tried.
