What Style Is It?: A Guide to American Architecture, Revised Edition

Being a used book it was in excellent condition - delivery was fast.

Authors present their material in easy-to-read and easy-to-view formats. Would have liked a more expansive glossary, but it's adequate. Great overview of numerous house and building styles.

What I actually clicked on was Identifying American Architecture: A Pictorial Guide to Styles and Terms, 1600-1945 2nd Revised & enlarged Edition but somehow ended up with What Style Is It?: A Guide to American Architecture, Revised Edition 2nd Edition. How this occurred is unclear but obviously I would be much happier with the book I thought I ordered.

It one of the better books in electronic format, the illustrations have not suffered and the book is just as I remembered it. I have other architectural guides that go into more detail but are not nearly as portable. I use this when I travel.

This book could be concidered a fun reference book. It has many photos and illustrations for each style. I like the unsual dimentions of the book. Each style is shown in photos, diagram, and words. The examples chosen for each style are not necessarily the ones that are commonly used in textbooks. If you are a budding architecture fan, I believe you will enjoy this book.

It’s a textbook but seems really informative and interesting. A good intro to different types of architecture

Very good if you want a quick overview of the different types of architecture styles. Definitely not an in depth text book which is what i exactly wanted. Quick and easy read. Great illustrations too.

This book was the good quality I was hoping for and it came really quickly. Nice straightforward book if you want to learn some basic information about architecture.
