Excellent crossfit jump rope. Super easy to adjust and readjust length.
This has replaced my old rogue jump rope which was my buddy for years, so I was hesitant. But what a difference. Light weight but with enough weight to move the rope for speed and double unders, great bearings for smooth easy movements, and length is so easily adjustable that if you need to, you can do it in a single second in between sets without missing a beat. Love the color combos too, I can always tell which one is mine after we've all tossed them on the floor to do our next stage. Great product. I'm 5'9 and I didn't have to cut anything, either. Plenty of room for adjustment still in either direction without needing to cut.

Clever design but too light
I’ll start by saying I’ve owned several jump ropes over the years, and usually use them a couple times a week to do a few hundred jumps at a time. It’s a nice addition to a boxing workout. They eventually wear out, usually with the rope / cable breaking near the connection to the handle. I’ve bought them at local sporting stores or on Amazon, usually in the $20-ish range. So I decided to try the more expensive Sonic Boom because of the design of the cable and handle. Once I received it, I could immediately tell the quality of the handles and the cable are much better than previous ropes I’ve owned. The clever handle design makes loading and adjusting the cable super fast and easy. And the bearings in the handle seem likely to eliminate the failure point of the other ropes I’ve owned, not to mention that the braided cable (which is encased in a plastic shell) is hopefully more likely to hold up over time. Just to be clear, I’ve only owned it for a few weeks, so my thoughts on durability are just conjecture at this point. The major drawback for me is weight. Some of my experience I’m sure is just learning curve, and adjusting to a new rope. But I find it much more difficult to use than any past jump ropes I’ve owned. I like using a weighted rope and handles, which work your arms a little more and give you a feel for timing (heavier handles and rope are a little harder to swing, but that effort gives you a clear sense of timing, so even if you aren’t looking at the rope, you know when to jump). With those old ropes, I could easily do 400-500 jumps without missing a step. The Sonic Boom is just the opposite. The cable and handles are so thin and light it’s hard to get a feel for it as it swings around, so timing is more difficult. The handles themselves are very slim, so there’s a major contrast with the weighted handles from other ropes which feel large and solid in your hand, and these, which are literally slimmer than a typical dry erase marker, so I feel like I’m holding them between my thumb and forefinger instead of in the palm of my hand. It’s built for speed, and with very little effort, you can make the cable spin very fast, but the cable is so slim that it’s hard to get a sense for where it is, and I find myself struggling to get more than 50-150 jumps before I lose timing and have to start again. I’m sure I’ll get better with practice. But if I were designing this myself, I would use their clever handle design (quick connect & bearings) with a much heavier rope and larger/heavier handles. That would be a 5 star product for sure.

SOME HELPFUL TIPS FOR ALL + All The Reasons Why I Love This Rope From a Female's Perspective
I'm a female and new to speed jump roping, but I didn't want a cheap starter rope. Here are some factors as to why I purchased this rope and why you may end up loving it too:1) QUALITY: If you like to invest in workout accessories that are well-made, this is your rope! While I'm new to this, I know good quality when I see it, and this rope is superior in quality even in comparison to ropes I checked out in stores. There aren’t many times when something arrives in the mail and ends up being a higher-quality than you expected - this was one of those rare experiences for me.2) FUNCTION: I love the rope-locking function, it's brilliant. Sure, you need wire cutters to make the rope the correct size for you, but that's no big deal. Everyone should invest in a decent pair of wire cutters for their tool box as it always comes in handy!3) LOOKS (important to me because I’m female, duh): It’s sleek-looking, yet a good weight and very slim. Fits great in any bag, and I know it will look nice and new for a very long time!4) JEALOUSY: Looking to make your husband jealous? Pick one of these up and use it, he’ll be jealous and want one too. The nice thing is, it’s perfectly sized for only me and he’s too tall so he can’t steal it! Sucker :)5) OVERALL HEALTH: On a serious note, I had no idea jumping rope was so good for you as an overall body workout. My first time using this I was dying in no time flat and couldn’t get more than a few jumps in without messing up. In a few days, my coordination improved and I pretty much had it down in no time looking like I at least knew what I was doing. I love all the different variations of jumps you can do, and I’m mixing it up and doing intervals to prolong my attention to it. According to some science study I read somewhere: jumping rope for 10 minutes is the equivalent to running an 8-minute mile. I hope this is true because that's kinda cool.TWO TIPS THAT MAY BE HELPFUL TO YOU (Male or Female):TIP 1 - JUMP ROPE TRAINING VIDEOS: If the link for the free jump rope mastering videos ($15 value) isn’t working, simply send them an email. They were super helpful and kindly explained that they had been experiencing some website issues at one point. They also responded back to me in less than 24 business hours and were able to provide me with the videos easily and quickly!TIP 2 - JUMP ROPE SIZING: I didn’t know where to start in regards to sizing the rope. Videos online were kinda ambiguous and I wanted a little bit more of a guide compared to just standing on the rope and figuring out where the rope should hit from there. Here’s what I found was the most helpful for me:Your Height // Cable Length4’10” - 5’0” // 7’10”5’1 - 5’2 // 8’0”5’5” // 8’4”5’6” // 8’6”5’7 - 5’8” // 8’8”5’9” - 5’10” // 8’10”5’11” - 6’0 // 9’0”6’1” - 6’2” // 9’2”6’3” - 6’5” // 9’4”Of course this is only a guide, so please decide if this is personally right for you or not, but I thought it was pretty spot-on for my height at 5’7”. I just suggest trying an inch or two longer than what it says so that you can always take a little bit away at a time until you feel it is just right. I ultimately ended up at 8’8” anyway just like it had suggested. One last word: I almost waited too long to purchase this before they sold-out (hopefully they'll restock), but I picked up one of the last one's available in this most recent available batch. When and if they restock, I wouldn't wait or think too long about it. I absolutely love this rope and you may end up loving it too!

Great Work Out!
I like the weighted rope. It actually makes it easier for beginners and athletes to go at their own pace be it slower or faster. And it is super fast! It’s precise. This isn’t your kid’s jump rope!

Too light
This rope is way too light for a beginner. Start with a half pound rope not this one

Locking feature is top notch!
The media could not be loaded. I've used this rope for little over a week now and so far I have no complaints. The locking feature is great as there's no extra rope poking out and getting in the way. A feature of my old rope was that sometimes it would come loose from the lock and if have to thread it through again mid workout. I also feel like the rope goes out a bit more than my previous because the rope comes out in line with the handle giving me a bit of a wider berth from the whipping rope and ultimately making it smoother. The old rope I have is closer to the body rotating round the joint and is much less smooth. So yeah, I'm pleased with this and the fact that I'm having much fewer stops during my timed skipping. Thumbs up!

Way to light to use.. not good!
I have to be really honest and say.. i have trained most of my adult life and i have done boxing training most of my life, used many jump ropes and thought when i sern this i had to get.. but sorry to say what a waste of money this is. The wire rope is way to light and keeps catching my feet . Tried to be patient and give it s bit of time. But just give up in the end and went back to my cheap sports direct £4.99 jump rope that i have always used for many many years with no problem.. this is now back in it box in the back of the cupboard..way to light and a waste of time and money.....

High end speed rope!
I skip/jump rope regularly. I use it as cardio on my rest days, as well as for a quick warm up before weight training.I have used a bunch of different ropes in the past. Currently I have two Ampro ropes and one cheaper Pheonix Fitness rope. In the past I have used Beastgear and Crossrope. I decided to try the Epitomie Fitness Sonic Boom M2. I really like it!!! It is made from metal with a nice soft rubber handle. Its much easier to adjust the length, no tools needed. It is also smooth as it rotates and fast. Comes with a spare rope and carry case. Comparing it with the Ampro speed rope is pretty much the opposite. The Ampro is made from plastic, need a screwdriver to adjust and rattles from the handles as it rotates. Also the Ampro has a very light handles, so you have to make more effort to rotate. The Sonic Boom M2 has some more weight to the handle so makes it easier to rotate. It is much faster than any rope I have had before. The bearings remind me of skateboard or roller skate bearings. They spin fast and smooth. Also bonus it looks nice, especially with the red rope. This is built to last and I can't see it failing. I have broken ropes in the past, especially the plastic ones, they can fall and break or fail on the joint where the rope meets the handle. I am 5'11 height and straight out the box it was the correct length for me. It also seems to tangle less than my other ropes. I would give this 8/10. You can buy cheaper ropes but you have to compare like for like. The price point of the Sonic Boom M2 is £30 and in this range other ropes range from £30-£55. Example the Crossrope Bolt speed rope is £55. So in this price range I think this is value for money. You can spend less for sure but it depends on what you need. If you skip casually, you can do with something around £10 and keep it until it breaks then buy a new one. However if you regularly skip, want a quality product that lasts and you enjoy using it then this is the one to choose. I had weighted ropes before and they were too much effort and it goes from cardio to resistance training. I'm only into using skipping ropes as cardio, so need something that is light and fast. This way I can do my steady state cardio 4 days a week for 30 mins each time. This allows me to not fatigue my muscles so I can still do my 2 total body weight workouts a week. So in closing, if you have the money this is a really good skipping rope. It will last and comes with a spare rope. You won't be disappointed, I have been using it for two weeks and have stopped using my other ropes completely.

Great jump rope for all fitness levels
I recently bought this jump rope as I wanted to get back into skipping as part of my current fitness programme. I have previously used standard ropes, so wanted to get something at higher quality and speed to further build up my cardio. The Boom M2 has turned out to be an excellent choice! The rope (you get two of them in the package) is fitted into the handles with absolute ease and can be adjusted as required. The handles feel good in my hands and at the right weight level. What I like most about this jump rope is that it stays nicely untangled whilst skipping. And being able to skip extra fast as part of a good work-out is great as I never got this from standard ropes.I currently work with the videos, which access you can get for free. They help me with getting back into a good technique to make skipping light and easy and offer variations and tricks, which make the jumping experience more interesting and helps with my balance. This jumping rope tries to stand out from the rest. Although a bit higher priced, it achieves a great value in its quality and together with its additional features.

Grippy handles and a good bearing system
As a newbie to double unders and having sampled a number of ropes at various CrossFit boxes, I quite like this rope.Pros-The adjustment technology in the handle it great, far better than having the extra rope flapping about.-The rubberised handle is reassuring and has a nice feel to it-Providing two ropes for this price is good value - quite like the red colour on the black handles-Carry bag included, although feels a little cheap compared to the quality of the product-I could get double unders right away with this ropeImprovements-The plastic packaging was excessive - just put the handles in the bag rather than in more plastic packaging-While the hard box was a nice touch to premiumise the overall product, it feels unnecessary and I feel guilty for throwing it away-Handles feel solid but I imagine after a while they may start to feel a little heavyGiven the price, getting two ropes and a carry bag, this is a great buy. From experience of other rope systems, I would probably still prefer an SGF but I have this one now and will use it until its worn out.To be clear this is a speed rope - expect to get whip marks if you miss your jump
