Almost all of this assembly is wimpy plastic. The retainer ring (which threads onto the base and holds the pivoting ball joint attached to your camera) is under-engineered. It's too thin of plastic and/or too weak of material. It is the key connector between the bracket and the camera. It needs to be tight enough to hold the camera steady at the right point and hold the weight of the camera. And it needs to be strong enough for all this.This retainer ring failed after one day. On the second day I saw that the retainer ring had cracked 75% of the way from front to back. Fortunately I bought a package of two brackets and so I beefed-up the second one by enclosing it within a plastic shell packed with white epoxy. This failure turned a "One ladder climb" project into a "Three ladder climb" project. I cannot recommend this product.

My product did not come with directions but it can be figured out. It does NOT hold my stick up cam well so I would say the functionality is limited. TheProduct has like an elbow joint (Hopefully I described it correctly) but the joint is not strong enough to hold the camera at any angle except horizontal and vertical. If you need it angled diagonal or anything else the joint falls down. For that reason I would not buy again because I need a diagonal view to catch a wider area

the Ring come with mounting Bracket cannot give you a bigger angle to face down or the side.Ring also have one cost twenty dollar bracket can purchase separately but still only good if you want to hang it to the ceiling. This after market bracket can provide you more flexibility for a best angle you want.highly recommended

Put one on the front and back door - worked exceptionally well. Dowloading the app is easy, connecting to wi-fi is straightforward, pics and voice communication is very good. For this money, flexible mounting brackets should be included as I had to order them separately for another $20. I would recommend.

The only issue I had was mounting it. It was hard to tighten the brackets and hold the camera. Awkward positioning and loose hardware made it difficult to get it where I wanted it. Still, it doesn’t move around so I guess it’s stable.

Excellent Value for the price. Better to mount Ring Cameras then what they are enclosed with. Easy to install. Used them inside and out..

Worked perfectly. Hard plastic and doesn’t feel too cheap. Everything came with the product and I was Able to install camera in short time.This also allowed me to get the angle I was hoping for and only keep within my yard.

Product allows you to easily adjust the position of your Ring stick up cam. It was fairly easy to install. Gave it 4 stars because when trying to install the first bracket the screw literally broke off and we had to go to Lowes and buy more durable screws. Other than that it installed quickly and made positioning the Ring camera much, much easier than the mount provided by Ring.
