GE Relax LED Light Bulbs, 40 Watt, Soft White, G16.5 Globe Bulbs, Clear, Small Base (2 Pack)

We added new ceiling lights to our bedrooms. I started with bright lights (the ones with the yellow filament). They were overwhelming. We were thinking we made a bad decision with the light fixture. However, decided to try these bulbs to soften the look and they made a huge difference. Now happy.

Great for lighting where you see the bulb - it is a ball shape. The warm light makes for good ambiance and is not too bright.

Great product as described

The media could not be loaded.  I’m very disappointed in these bulbs. They started flickering after my return window closed. I figured buying a name brand would be more likely to get better quality but not in this case. Strongly recommend buying something else.

This is supposed to be a *decorative* bulb, one that is on display, not covered by a lampshade. So, it’s ridiculous that GE covered it with print (see photos)! The bulb seems to work, but it is pointless because it ruins the look of your chandelier or vanity mirror or whatever you were trying to enhance with little globe bulbs. Another, more subjective complaint: as you can see, it’s not exactly a globe shape, but more of an A-bulb shape (like a regular light bulb shape), which doesn’t give the same look (see comparison with the incandescents in the third photo). (Also, like most LED bulbs it has trouble when you turn the dimmer down low.)

At time of purchase, the dimensions list a length of 2.8 inches; WRONG! It's closer to 3.1 inches.For some light fixtures that may not matter, but it does for some.

Got sent a cheap $2 bulb that gets very hot. Packaging is not as advertised, is NOT LED.

Perfect. Not too bright for my bathroom.
