Slipping and sliding
Wife is very small 5'00" and is in a Group Home. When they take her from bed into wheelchair, she has a tendency to slide forward - slick seat, small body, short legs. This cushion with pommel is so far working well to keep her totally upright in the wheel chair. Have not had it long enough to evaluate its longevity. So far so good.

No slipping!!
Bought this for my mom as she moves her legs alot while in her wheelchair which previously caused her to start slipping out of of the chair. This was so dangerous and we had to keep repositioning her in her chair which she hated. With this cushion and a seat belt I purchased separately, she has not slipped down the seat at all! Even after 4 hours in the chair. It makes her time in the chair completely safe and enjoyable for her again - as well as for the rest of us/the family! Sooo happy to have found a comfortable, sustainable solution so we can keep mom mobile again! Yay!

Much needed
This works as we had hoped for. Our father would slowly slide off his wheel chair and this prevented him from moving and kept him on the seat.

Helps
It does help a wheelchair person to keep from sliding down, you just have to make sure the staff know that it’s to go between the legs , not sat on. Eventually the horn flattens out, lasted a good year. Cover is not fabric so you can wipe it down.

Not Worth the Money
I returned this cushion. Got it for my Mother who is wheelchair bound due to dementia. The pommel is short and she ended up sitting on it. The cushion is very thin. Certainly not worth $100.

Could be Good
Got this for my father with dementia. He refused to use it, and so did the caregivers because it was harder to get him on it.I think it could have worked, but we will never really know. Had to send it back...

Finally a solution to slipping out of wheelchair
Family member has Parkinson's Disease which involves a great deal of involuntary movement so there have been numerous times he has slipped out of the wheelchair and on to the floor due to loose cushions. After trying multiple products and even anchoring them with velcro without complete success, this cushion has solved the problem! The wedge shape and center pummel help keep him seated properly. The non-skid pad solves the problem of cushions slipping out from under him, and the velcro straps keep everything tight and in place. Yes this is expensive but worth every penny.
