Jack Richeson 38010 Yarka Student Semi Moist Watercolor, Set of 10

I've used most brands of watercolor pigments, but usually, the student grade cake pan sets are hard as rock. These constituted to a creamy consistency immediately when touched with water and have a surprisingly dense pigmentation. I use these for quick sketches when working out a composition and color palette, which I do often, and still have plenty of paint left. For the price, these can't be beaten. I've even taken them for a spin on a painting I intended to frame and was not disappointed with the end result. This student set convinced me to get the professional set of Yarka paints, and I love those even more.

These are used by artists and by students. Bright rich color, easy to use, long lasting, great price. Yellow doesn't last as long as the others so go easy on it. Love the intensity of color! Have bought many sets for myself and my students.Update: Back for more of these but I highly advise tossing that lousy paintbox that comes with it or allowing your toddler to use it instead of your good brushes. I know these are student sets but just don't! Don't make your student's life difficult to paint by giving them this brush.

These have been one of my go to watercolors to years. They’re really nice for the price. I really like that they have both a cool and warm toned green and red. They also don’t get that super chalky texture that a lot of cheaper watercolors get after they dry. However, I took a star off because they should probably be packaged in bubble wrap or something more protective than a sheet of paper. The lid came cracked and with one of the hinges broken.

Best watercolors! A requirement for my university students for intro to watercolor, K-12 Art curriculum building, or just fun. Great for bright color, mixing, glazing, wax resist - just about anything you would want from watercolors! Brilliant jewel tones. I just gave a set to my 7-year old granddaughter to get her started with the “good stuff!”

Ordered 11 as shown. Received 3 as shown + 7 of the 12 color set to make 10 total. Two items box broken. My daughter is using these to teach a class and needs 11 of the exact same set. The 12 color version will not be a problem, it that's all you have. Cannot find how to contact the seller.Would like to have eleven (11) of the exact same set... either 10 color or 12 color, with none of the boxes broken. Please contact me to make this right.
