Why would you get anything else?
It's too bad they don't make these lithium-FeS2 batteries in D cell. They'd be perfect for Maglites and other large flashlights. (There are lithium primary D cells, but they are extremely expensive and they aren't suitable for high-drain devices). Here is why these are better than alkaline batteries:1. Last at least twice as long. Sure, the alkaline batteries might have a similar mah rating on paper. But as it gets used up it gets harder and harder to get all of that energy out of the battery. You'll get the energy out, but in smaller amounts. In many devices, it won't be enough to keep the device powered. Lithium primary batteries don't have that problem. This alone accounts for most of the longer life of these batteries. I don't know about 8x the battery life, but in flashlights and other devices you should expect to get at least 2x the runtime. And I think that by itself is a good enough reason to buy them.2. No more messy leaks. Alkaline batteries are prone to leaking if they get too old or if they've been drained. These don't have that problem. If you put these in your device and forget to check it in a long time, they won't have leaked and ruined it.3. Shelf life. Not only do they have longer run times, but they have much longer shelf lives. Put these in an emergency flashlight. Throw it in a drawer. If ten years go by without replacing them, you'll still have 80% of the original energy remaining in that flashlight when the power goes out.4. Light weight. You'll notice it when you pick one up. It may not be a huge deal if you're just putting these in a remote control. But if you are putting these in a head lamp, you'll appreciate the weight difference.Hopefully competition will push the prices down when Energizer's stupid patent runs out. That's really the only downside.

Energizer batteries are the best according to expert reviews.
These batteries are the top brand by expert reviews, not even looking at customer reviews (they can be biased or not accurate). Amazon is the lowest price for these over local stores, even Walmart and Costco.

more power and long lasting
great long lasting batteries . Now what people do not under stand it takes 12 regular energizer to run my arc mouse where 2 of these last 3 to 4 years. Also and most importantly they have about 6x the power output .What I mean is i stared out like every 1 else using cheap duracell or energizer batteries , well as soon as i got a swiffer jet wet (it has 2 jets that shoot out of the cleaner head that holds the scrubber velcro patch and the cleaning pad . Well i though it was defective because 1 side trickled out and nothing out of the other side.So i had these as a gift and threw them in and both jets shot about 4ft across my kitchen . My husband smiled and said see i told you , you get what you pay for ...I will never waste batteries again and this is probably the equivalent to recycling 100 cans a week think no nickel , or dies from junk batteries just lithium same as our phones . Long lasting and powerful

Great Lithium Battery
I buy Duracell and Energizer batteries. I had an issue with Ray-O-Vac a few years back and no longer check out their products. I first bought both the AAA and the AA Energizer Lithium Ultimate at a local store. Energizer's marketing and graphics department did a nice job because I grabbed one of each because of the packging. I was in marketing several years and still go for the eye appeal. I use the batteries in various items around the house likew remotes, wireless mouse and keyboard and digital cameras. On the rremotes and such these AAA batteries may outlast your remote. My Logitech MX1100 wirless mouse gets six months or more, so does the wirreless keyboard, and I'm on my PC almost constantly and if I'm not my son and wife are.I now buy both the AAA and AA versions of this product from Amazon because the price is very competitive here. Are they better or last longer than Duracell? I really can't tell any difference between the two after switching back and forth a few times so I buy whichever is least expensive at the time of purchase. As is almost always the case my order arrived on time and in good shape (not too much you can do to batteries).
A**.
I have not used it yet.
Heard about these from my aide. They're suppose to last longer at full strength.

Unbelievable Longevity Even in Extreme Conditions!
I ordered 4 of these batteries almost two years ago because I read that these would hold up even under extreme heat and cold. I was not disappointed. I live in central Wisconsin and have a battery operated outdoor sensor for my home weather station. These batteries have survived two very brutal winters here and the extreme summer heat to boot and are still going strong!Yes, they are a bit expensive but well worth the extra money! None of my Nimh batteries held up under these conditions (Alkaline's? Forget it!). If you need batteries for extreme conditions (like me), these Lithium batteries by Energizer are the way to go, hands down! The only CON I can think of is that these batteries cannot be recharged, but I could really care less since they last, and last and last! GO BUNNY!
