Required for icy conditions
These make walking on smooth ice feel like walking on loose gravel. If you might ever be walking on ice, get these. They’re way cheaper than slipping on ice and needing the hospital to fix your bones. You’ll still slip if you’re rushing, so walk with caution, but at least you can walk. I walk to work when the roads are bad, and freezing rain has turned that parking lot into an ice skating rink. I simply walked across it. These shoe chains help on snow, too.

Did what they were supposed to do.
Kept me from slipping on snow and ice even though I don't have snow shoes. They buckled my flip flops so I could only wear them with my rain boots, but that is probably closer to what everyone is using them for. I was also able to wear them indoors a little, which was needed because, it is difficult to manipulate them with cold hands. I used them without the nylon straps and they came off once or twice on stairs, I think from my shoe flexing, but it was easy to go back and collect them. They were also very portable for travel.

these are awesome
I purchased the medium size. They fit my Muk boots perfect and you do not slide at all on the ice. These things kept me from falling during feeding time at the kennels. AND when they get muddy or dirty all you have to do is rinse them off. Like the storage bag as well.

The cleats work very well.
The cleats themselves work great. The straps which can be used to help hold the cleats on your boots are poorly constructed - too little Velcro both in space on the straps and in the quality of the Velcro. Regardless I have used the cleats about 15 times with no problems while not attaching the straps.

All Around Poor Product and Service
If I could give these ZERO stars, I would. I specifically read the product details and reviews to use them for running in the winter on soft snow or icy pavement. Right at one Mile, the springs snapped in two different places. I took that shoe off and kept the other one on-WHICH BROKE AT Fourth mile.To make matters worse, not only did they give me only a partial credit BUT CHARGED ME A DAMAGE FEE!

They work great!
Rainy week in Canada ruined all the snow to ice over Christmas and these cleats couldn’t have worked any better. Got a pair for my gf too and she put them in her Ugg slippers and both of us had no trouble at all outside. I didn’t use the additional straps and didn’t need them. There’s work better than my last pair of bear claws.

Not meant for serious use
These arrived early January and didn't make it thru the month. To be fair, I walk 3 miles a day - some on pavement. This was the month when many states got hit with the polar vortex and I am in one of them. The ice on my walking route was terrible. Because I start my walk early morning in the dark, I kept them on the whole way for safety. They obviously are not meant for this amount of use - but, I will say that while they lasted, they were very secure on my feet and gave me great traction. It was very reassuring to have them on. I have had other versions that I have had issues keeping on my feet - and would walk right out of them - but the velcro strap on these keeps them on securely. I have ordered another pair to hopefully get me thru to a thaw but I will be looking for something more durable for next year.

Going into our second winter with these
If you were a dog person, who’s out in the winter snow, walking your dog, get these. Perfect for slip resistance. I like the band that goes over the front. I bought other types and have lost them because they do seem to snap off time to time. After I fell down a flight of steps due to ice, I will never go out again without these on my boots.
