Although heavier than most Medium range D-locks I have used, this chain is close to the same security level, and when paired with the axa wheel lock, is actually more secure than one D-lock, and lighter than two. The compact chain is well protected in the fabric sleeve to guard against scratching my bike, and long enough to secure the front wheel and frame to a solid object --like a light post, bike rack, or park bench. The same key that unlocks the wheel lock also unlocks the plug-in chain, but it is also possible to plug in the chain without locking the wheel lock: it is two separate mechanisms but one lock cylinder. Since the wheel lock retains the key when opened, the key and lock are always with my bike, so I just wrap this chain through the stays on my Brooks saddle and around the seatpost and thru the seat stays when riding. So convenient, and for a quick stop I just loop the loose ends of the chain around something solid, plug it in and close the wheel lock and take the key. I don't even have to fully unwind the chain, and it is just as fast to unlock and go. With this setup, I use the bike more often for errands without even thinking about it. The chain also comes with a storage bag, which is well made and we'll designed,but it clashes with the aesthetic of my classic bike and so I prefer not not to use it.

Product is as advertised. Just took a while to arrive. price was fair, and I am overall pleased.

Zipper failed on first zip. Tooth broke off. Now bag is utterly useless. Return was good for only two days after delivery. Unfortunately I found the broken zipper on day three when I opened the package and installed on the bike. Now I can't return the defective bag and need to source another more robust bag to store the locking chain in. Just be aware you will likely have to throw out your Axa bag and use another to store your chain. Good luck.

Not only does it not fit but this overseas third party does not have free return shipping and the shipping is more than the chain is worth. So you will are out the price of the chain if it does not work. I would not buy from Amazon Global Store UK .

Die Einsteckkette ist stabil und gut zum Sichern des Fahrrades an einem festen Gegenstand. Leider hat der Reißverschluss nach dem 15. Mal den Geist aufgegeben. Der Zipper ist in der Mitte durchgebrochen, weil der schwergängige Reißverschluss sich verklemmt hat und jetzt sehr schwergängig ist. Schade.Update: Ich habe AXA kontaktiert und mir wurde eine Ersatztasche zugeschickt. Toller Service von AXA! Leider war auch der Reißverschluss der Ersatztasche schwergängig. Ich habe daher den Reißverschluss mit Silikonöl bestrichen und siehe da: Der Reißverschluss flutscht jetzt leichtgängig auf und zu. Jetzt wird der Reißverschluss bestimmt nicht mehr kaputt gehen.
