Really interesting stories keeps my son entertained.

These stories are great but this boxed set is of very middling quality. The books don’t sit in the box and are all slightly different sizes so look untidy. The box itself is somewhat battered, with literally every corner squashed in to a greater of lesser extent. In some places this damage has carried through onto the books. The box and books have little spots of dried glue in numerous places. Two of the books have a weird scabby texture where the coating on the cover has lifted up and gone all wrinkly.Overall I don’t feel I have got a good deal with this purchase and if I didn’t need them for a school event this week, I would be returning them for a refund.

I have a really nice coloured copy of one of the Captain Underpants, which is properly bound and printed on glossy paper with vibrant colours. This box set is not like that: the paper has a satin finish and the colour is a little dull.As noted by other reviewers, not all the books have the same height, which is an odd thing to find! I can't remember seeing another box set with this problem. The pages are leaf-bound and glued in, which should outlive the black & white versions of the books by fifty years! :-)Book 2 has one or two misprints on one or two pages. I've checked two box sets and they both have a print error on the same pages (but not necessarily the same print error!)
