Not the best blending brushes!
I'm really disappointed in these brushes. I use distress inks alot, I like to ink blend and I've been doing it for years. I thought these brushes would be good for that but they're not. And much too expensive! I get better results using my ink daubers, TH blending tool or a soft make-up brush. Save yourself some money - there's other brushes on the market that do better. I've tried all four sizes and one thing I noticed, these brushes leave a heavy "splotch" wherever you first meet paper. I've tried them on free-hand, stencils and taped images and I never get the effect I want. The bristles are just stiff enough that they leave too much ink at once, even when I start brushing on scrap paper off to the side then I spend too much time trying to blend. I thought these would be easier, not more work! I gave them 3 stars because they do fit my hand nicely. I like the way they feel, the wood handles! But I'm going back to my old methods, sometimes they work best.An update: 2 months after receiving these brushes, the hairs started falling out of 3 brushes. They'reuse useless now.

quite large
Keep in mind these are quite large brushes. They still work beautifully on a small stencil and are lightweight to hold. They have tapered bristles which are unique to this brand. I'm very pleased with these and highly recommend!

Undecided
These are very hyped in the crafting world. After playing with them, I am not sure they live up to the hype. I will need to try it more, but with the first couple attempts the results were just okay. If you compare this to the round shaped blending sponges, this does not have "seams" or lines were there was too much ink. It does blend on smooth. However, these do not pick up a ton of ink, and can take a long time to build up color. I am not sure these are a must have.

Love These Brushes for Creating Backgrounds
I really like these brushes ...so much so that I bought a second set. I want to have a brush dedicated to each color family -- this is not necessary. The brushes clean well by wiping on a paper towel. The bristles may be stained but the color won't carry on to your next project.I am a novice to color blending and I have struggled with using the round sponges. I have made two cards using stencils and my inks. And, I liked the end result.Note that these brushes will not give you strong bold blending like the sponges. Instead, they give a subtle effect. They are much easier to use, in my opinion.

Great
I'm just getting to use these; the brushes provide a soft effect when using with inks but haven't had too much of a chance to use. They are quite large and I am happy with them.

Great product.
I love what these brushes can do. Adding a soft background is so easy compared to using other products. They can be washed but you shouldn't get water above the the metal band. If the color is light you can simply wipe on a damp sponge.

Stencil Brushes are great
They cover a surface well, wash up well and are easy to use. Good product.
