Stopped working with the timer after a month or two. Still works if I just put it on auto. There's no smell, relatively good value if it continues to work. No light emitted and does have noise but it's not loud or annoying just more like white noise. I tried to clean the filter myself once and it didn't really work.

If you have a problem the company will fix it how ever they can. The product is wonderful. We are so dry in my area we need extra humidity in our homes and cleaner air.

I kind of went in the middle on my review. I like the unit and that it is a combo. It looks nice. The first unit after a month or so it just stopped working, I read the instruction manual and no solution. It would run for about 30 seconds with the fan on top speed and then would shut off. It did that a couple of times and just died then. I assumed it was a faulty unit and replaced it with another one. This new one when I shut the purifier off in about an hour it turns itself back on a couple of times. I reread the instruction book and no idea there. So if you purchase I would buy the protection plan.

I purchased this item in late last year and have been using it every night since January. It really helps with my allergies in North Carolina since I’m asthmatic. I loved the product until last night. Around 4 am, it starting beeping super loudly and wouldn’t stop. Then I took my remote, turned it off and then on again. It worked for about 3 minutes and then again, the loud continuous beeping. I turned it off and then I took it out of the plug and went back to sleep. Then this morning and throughout the day, I tried to get it to start. I plugged in back in. Nothing. I pressed the start button on my remote. Nothing. I pressed the start button on the actual air purifier compartment. The lights turned on and that it’s. The blades for the air purifier don’t move or work at all. I tried so many things to get it to work and nothing helped. I’m so sad and disappointed since it’s still spring and my allergies are rough. Again, I really enjoyed using this product until it unexpectedly stopped working and won’t turn on at all. I hope no one else has to experience this.
