The Best Bizarro Fiction of the Decade
A**O
OH BOY, this is some far out stuff. VERY entertaining (but very inappropriate for kids!)
This is some of the weirdest, craziest, and awesomest stuff I have read in a while. Freaky to the extreme. Should appeal to fans of the weirdest of Stephen King's short stories, Troma & early Peter Jackson / Sam Raimi movies, and bands like The Boredoms. It's a very uneven bunch of stories, but it never gets boring. Just a word of warning, this is not appropriate for kids or the faint of heart!

New Magic Realism
This brilliant compilation showcases the best new writers from the literary underground. Shades of Ballard, Kafka, Ellison, Lovecraft, Murakami, July, and Palahniuk resonate throughout. The Ben Loory story "The Octopus" is pure genius. A celebration of the imagination with a healthy touch of anarchistic attitude! Awesome stuff!

Some stories were a bit boring, but on the whole it's a great collection.

Bizarro is Great
I'm new to bizarro fiction, and I'm loving it. The writing in BBFD is uniformly crisp and clear. Some stories are more bizarre than others, but of course that does not take away from the anthology as a whole. Reading these shorts leaves me hungry for more!
