Q: Would you say you really needed this?

This was a gift for our son that loves his coffee - he was really happy to receive it and our DIL says it looks great on the coffee bar. Uses it daily.

Q: Are the large holes both the same size, so i will be able to store both of my two aeropresses in it? (i store my aeropress collapsed together)

The two holes are the same size. However, you will not be able to store your AeroPress in it if the AeroPress is collapsed together. As shown in the picture, the ends of both pieces are bigger than the holes. So collapsed, neither end would fit through the holes.

Q: Does it have to be installed? And is it easy?

It needs to be assembled. Very easy to do, just screw the feet and caps onto the four uprights through the two plates. These are very nice units!
