Q: can i place a curtain in front of it ?

Don't do that. It gets pretty hot. A close curtain would prevent it from doing it's job effectively and would be dangerous.

Q: what is maximum heat?

I can’t tell you the actual maximum heat, but I can say that having bought three of these recently that they warm up very quickly and bring the rooms to a good temperature in a very short space of time.

Q: To whom boaught one of these, have you seen your gas or electric bills decreased?

All this eco labeling is a sales pitch. If you run a heater at 1000 watts it will cost you the same as any other heater. We are charged by kilowatt hours by energy providers. If your provider charges say 50p per kilowatt hour it will cost you 50p to run a 1000 watt heater for 1 hour. Running a 2000 watt heater would cost twice as much per hour (£1). £5 a day if run for 5 hours.
