Beautiful story of God's provision
Sarah has had a difficult life. She grew up working on her family's canal boat, leading the mules along the towpath. Her father believed it was her duty as his child and did pay her and her sister for their work. Sarah longed for the day she could get away. She met Sam who was the son of one of the lock tenders and when they turned 18 they ran away together and got married. After several trials and setbacks they end up back at the canal and Sam is now the lock tender. Sam is killed in a lock accident and Sarah is left with three small children to raise on her own as well as the lock to tend. She learns to depend on those who love her for their support and assistance at times though she doesn't like to ask for help. Will she be able to continue her work at the lock or does God have other plans for her life?

Absolutely loved The Brides of Lehigh High Canal
A heartwarming story about a young widow trying to work, and raise her three children while living along the Lehigh Canal.Very interesting and likeable charactersI especially like how Wanda brings several characters back from Kelly's Chance and Betsy's Return.Absolutely loved all three stories of The Brides of Lehigh CanalSomething I found very interestingwas Richard Brunstetter ( Wanda husband played along the towpath and used to swim in Lehigh canal when he was a boy. That inspired Wanda to write this seriesI really enjoyedDeserves more the a five star rating

ALL ABOUT HER
Sarah was to negative about her Resistance for three quarters of the book. I enjoyed the information on the canal-er and his salvation.

What a great way to end a series
I believe book three was my favorite! Once again full of surprises and pure clean romance. I also enjoyed the message of God's love and redemption for those who follow Him!I'm sure you'll love this book as much as I did. It can be read as a stand alone, but it would be sad to miss the other two books in the series!RHONDA

Great Book
I was completely fasinated by the Canal History and Culture that is included in this series. I just never knew much about the Canal life until I had the opportunity to visit that area and it's very interesting the way Wanda tells a story and weaves so much culture and history in along with it. I love to learn about cultures this way. Very interesting and I highly recommend these books! I wish there were more!

Good choice, great read....
Excellent conclusion to this series, a heartfelt storyline about Sarah and her children, having to survive without her husband. Loved reading about the historical area of the tow path locks . I didn't know they were real until the end of the book. Good history lesson.

In the story with characters
It was great. It wad suspenseful but loving at the same time. I love your books. Hard to put down. Your books always put Christ at the center of the story. That is what I love. You can almost feel like you are actually in the story with the different characters

Clean Christian historical novel 3.5 stars
This was a interesting story about the lives of people working on the locks. It was somewhat difficult to fully connect with the characters. It felt like the story was for teens. Thank you for making Jesus a important part.
