I have known Mr. Amal M Das for quite a while now, 4+ years to be precise. His book titled "Art of Concentration at the Age of Distractions" was of immense help to me during my JEE preparation days and I could my get my hands on his "Time Management - For Students who value their time" book during my first year of bachelors at IIT Madras.This "Parenting Teenagers for Wholesome Success" book is yet another masterpiece from him and I truly loved reading it. I have been following Mr. Das' works over the years and they never fail to amaze me with the quality of content which they bring to my reading table.Particularly, after reading Parenting Teenagers, what I felt was that this is a must read book for parents and children alike. I found it to be the right guide for parenting and a vital emotional bridge between concerned parents and confused children. I sincerely recommend this book to one and all who are reading this review and I am quite optimistic that you would be back to this space for writing a similar review after reading the book.Hope this helps.Best Wishes!!

Delivery :The book was nicely bubble wrapped and delivered promptly.Make of the book :The cover design is catchy, pages have a neat finish and I can see many pretty illustrations while I flip through the bookReview :I straight away finished the career section of the book first. It was super relevant for any person in general. A nice template to choose one's career.The book overall is well researched based on various modern behavioral books and the same concepts brought to life using appropriate scriptural anecdotes. Various truths and topics which are otherwise brushed under the carpet are boldly presented by the author with an intent to serve the parents and children.Individuality of people, empathy, loving relationships, service-attitude, mental health which are abstract for some people or neglected or not applied wisely are also discussed in this book.The concepts discussed are relevant for any mentor-mentee, parent-child relationships and even amongst friends and spouses for that matter.

One thing that is very UNIQUE about this book is that author doesn't speak some theoretical words rather he gives THE MOST PRACTICAL solutions to problems faced in Relationships.This Book helps not only in Good Parenting but also helps us in every Relationship, it can be for teachers, friends, life partners etc.Selfless-love in Relationships is the Highlight of this BookThe most heart-touching lines are the closing words in Pg# 276 "The fact is that we have given unconditional love and dharmic values to our children, they will definitely take care of us when we become old. But let's not make raising children into an 'old-age insurance' - where we pay installments of service when children are small, with the expectation that they will return the favor when we are old!!"

Amal sir's parenting teenagers book is an eye opener and myth buster.I have attended some seminars on parenting where focus was mostly on problem statement and we had to wait for very long to get very few action points.Parenting teenagers on contrast has practical and implementable right from the first page.The concepts explained are based on real life situations, vedic wisdom, adaptable on Indian context.As a new mother also, I find the book very helpful. I believe that imbibing these values before kids turn into teens is very essential. I recommend this book for all parents and parents to be. I'm gifting this book to my friends amd cousins.

The part on the career path of the child is very good. I am looking forward to applying all this in near future.There are plenty of practical tips. However, It would have been better with more excercises.

The author has addressed the Indian parenting scenario in a very wholesome manner. The acronyms and stories make it very easy to understand and remember.One thing many parents struggle with these days is to teach and inculcate life skills amd values in their children. Which the book addresses thoroughly in the Chapter 6.A Must-read for all parents and to-be parents. Worth every penny and even more.P. S. The book also gives you insights to parent your inner child!

When we (parents) read this book and implement it, two things will happen.1. Our teenager son or daughter will grow as a happy and fulfilled individual...as well as a responsible and contributing member to the society.2. This book enunciates the basic principles of parenting that must not be ignored in order to have a good parent-child relationship. It highlights the common mistakes that most parents commit, either knowingly or unknowingly, despite our best intentions towards the welfare of children and also presents better alternatives for parenting.I would strongly recommend this book to all parents.
