Q: Why no belt clip & locking driver? So, so, very close to a must have tool. It's nearly perfect for my needs short of those two glaring omissions.

Great tool the only con is no pocket clip I thought it had one when I purchased it..the bit in magnetic w strong hold..it's overall a good purchase hope this helps

Q: Can you take the knife blade off without messing it up? I really want a scissor and driver combo I can carry because I work in a school

So Gerber could answer this better, but the pin that the blade rotates around at its base has a 'custom' screw-on bolt right next to the base of the blade that you won't be able to open with a traditional wrench. I am sure Gerber has a custom wrench to unscrew it with, but they didn't provide one in the Armbar I bought. It may be something that a knife shop or sporting goods store could cleanly unscrew for you, but I think if I tried to do that with pliers, I might be able to get it off of there, but I would almost certainly mar and score the bolt cover itself. You might reach out to Gerber and see if there's a way you can get one of those wrenches.

yes, u can use different bits. the tools are not liner lock, only the knife.
