I learned about Malabar Spinach recently and after eating it decided to give growing a shot here in Central Florida. I'll start these in containers because our soil has nematodes and I'm informed that they might be an issue.I planted the first seeds in potting soil (very coarse stuff) after soaking them overnight. I have sprouts after 4 days. I'll be planting the red vein variety in a few days and try that out as ground cover. I'm going to raise some seedlings in a grow hut and see how it works out.It's now 2 weeks later: Every sprout is still wearing it's cotyledons. The red malabar sprouts have been coming up for 3 days. I'm growing some outdoors and some indoors.Mixed success with sprouting in various potting media. 15% success in seed starting mix, 80% in potting mix. 100% seeds planted in the ground. All sprouts look healthy and vigorous and 4 were transplanted.The red malabar seems much more vigorous than the green. Their cotyledons tripled in size before they sprouted more leaves.

I ordered the malabar spinach seeds on 2-16-2024, and was told to expect delivery in a couple of days. A few days later I was notified that the seeds had been delivered, only to discover no seeds in my mail box! I contacted the seller who was happy to resend a new seed packet, along with a picture of the envelope that would contain the seeds. Two days later the seeds were delivered. Today they will be planted! I can't say enough about the quality of the seeds and the service provided by Gaea's Blessing Seeds. I will definitely buy from them again!

I bought the malabar spinach seeds last year, June 2023 to be exact, and planted them in March 2024. Amazing seeds. This spinach tastes awesome. Way better than the regular spinach you buy in the store. I just bought another batch of seeds.

When i planted the Malabar spinach it took a long time to come up, put on 2 leaves and just sat there. No luck this year.

I received many seeds, it took almost 10days to germinate, but the germination rate is close to 100%. We planted in different beds. Now we are harvesting frequently and enjoying this! I am very satisfied with this product!

The seeds were all crushed and like crumbled dirt, I did not receive not 1 whole seeds, just a waste.

The Malabar seeds are hard to find where I live and when I found them they’re way too expensive. These seeds came in a timely manner. The seeds themselves were much larger than the ones I’ve harvested from my plants in the past and there was no debris in the packet which contained a LOT of seeds. So far I’ve planted about a dozen seeds. Three are up and looking good. The others are in a garden bed 75 miles away and I should know at the end of this week how many of those are coming up. I would recommend this seller and product.
