Yes, you can swap the blade. The new case comes with an uncut key, but you can just reuse the one from your original key fob.

This is what was in mine: Keyless Entry Remote Replacement Key Fob Battery VL2020 fit for BMW 1 3 5 6 7 Series E90 E92 E93 Smart Key Fob Battery You can also try what I believe to be the equivalent. A CR2450 3 volt lithium ion battery. It depends on the model and year that you own. They only had a few options but I do know that the CR2032 only fits in the newer (last 3 to 4 years) model of BMW’s. Also,do keep in mind that the batteries on those remotes are generally a non-serviceable item. When the fob is plugged into the car it is supposed to be charging the battery while you are driving. That being said, if you keep going through batteries you may want to have it checked out by the bmw service center to see if something has failed to function properly. Good Luck!! if you have the non comfort access key fob then yes, but be careful about putting to thick of a battery in the because they wont close on one side to well. but these are very well made!

Fob circuit board with new battery fit perfectly!

Key fob looks brand new. Snaps together snugly and can be reopened so will not need to cut it open if the new battery dies. Was able to pry off the BMW logo from the original and glue it on tho the new fob case. My original cut manual key fits right in and raplces the included uncut key that I don't need. I am very satisfied with this product.

Worth the money

Well worth the money they wanted to charge me at a dealership $200 to replace it, or so in their words refurbish it,and I got this and did it my self in 10min..,I just used my old key to put it in the new shell after taking the circuit board out of the Old Shell., you can find how to do it on YouTube.
