No. They could technically fit but defined not comfortable. I have a 17 pound black cat that cannot fit through this. He's older and taller and this is to small for him.

Q: How does the cat get in if door is closed? It says you can.only open from one side, if he gets in how does cat get out?

I just used a standard length blade with 12 tpi ,but chip out doesn’t really matter as the frame covers about 3/4 of a inch
