I’m happy with this product

I am always a little concerned when you don’t know much about the company but I like that they seem to be very attuned to questions. I’m glad they third party test -always good.I was taking fisetin on and off and restarted recently. I just take one per day and I have noticed a difference in my memory. When I was doing research it was really good to read that fisetin is not toxic in body even at high doses. So many studies out there with great reports on this little humble supplement. Preventative for cancer, brain, anti Inflammatory, etc. So happy I found it and GenX has a fair price. Thank you!

Fisetin kills Zombie cells-- senescent cells

Fisetin helps Cognition by "killing" Zombie Cells -- It seems to have improved my cognition somewhat since taking Fisetin daily

Seems a good product, but make sure you know what you are doing

So this is Fisetin, at a dosage of 100 mg per capsule. The capsules are normal-sized and easy to swallow, and the bottle comes with 60 capsules, so a 2-month supply if taken at the recommended dose of one capsule per day. Methylcellulose is listed as the other ingredient, and there is a GMP stamp on the bottle, which also notes that the product is distributed by a company giving a US address, but there is no information of where the product is manufactured. The bottle also states that the product is lab tested. The recommended dosage is one capsule, taken in the morning with water, with or without food. This had me a bit skeptical, for two reasons - first, fisetin is claimed to have pretty poor absorption, but be fat soluble, which usually points to it being helped by a fatty meal (or yogurt, or olive oil). Second, there are no human studies pointing to an appropriate dosage.I decided to try fisetin out after hearing about it from Dr Sinclair, recommending it as a potential senolytic. I got interested in it as something that might potentially be synergistic with fasting in that aspect. But there was no dosage recommendation... I took it for two weeks at the manufacturer-recommended dose of 100 mg/day. At that dosage, I tolerated it really well, but it would fall into the "faith supplement" category - absolutely no clue if it was doing anything or not. Then I decided to dive a bit into the literature, which was when I realized the lack of human studies - all I could find was a currently ongoing clinical trial, administering fisetin for two days in a row at what is mentioned by other reviewers, 20 mg/kg of body weight. Which would get me roughly to 1400 mg (darn extra COVID weight). So I stopped taking it for a week to clear my system, and then went for it, accompanying the fisetin with a nice cup of yogurt. When I tried that out, my reaction would probably have disqualified me from that trial - I got pretty strong fatigue, and, pretty strangely, I got a flare up of RSI (which I never had before in that form). It felt like it amplified some lingering inflammation. Things subsided a couple of days later. It could have been a coincidence. Or... there are ways to try to rationalize the sensation. But, to be honest, I am currently looking at the rest of the bottle and debating what to do with it. The saner part of my brain tells me to put a hold on it until more information comes out.

Intervention testing program says NO benefit but........

I disagree. Now those of you who follow my reviews know my deal is supplements and skin care products and I am always reviewing new data. I take a lot of supplements already and when data finds no benefit well that's one less in my stack I have to maintain. But not this time. So lest dig in.What is the intervention testing program? A multi -instructional study of supplements and pharmaceuticals for human benefits and lifespan. They are real good at what they do. And with Fisetin they found no human benefits. None ! Not even senolytic !What about all the other studies? They used inbred mice where as ITP uses heterogenous mice (which are more like us). It is a very good study and very convincing. See Dr Richard Miller Longevity supplements interventions testing program results. Also see Dr Brad Stanfield -Why I stopped taking Fisetin .So why in the world are you still taking it ? My first time on the 15th of the month I took my handful based on my weight which was about 1500mgs. I expected to feel nothing (I call these faith supplements as I trust they are doing their thing). I expected possibly some extra energy but was skeptical with even that. The next morning my vision was off the charts. Super crisp and clear and colors amazingly rich. I was dumbfounded. 4 days later my vision went back to normal. I never was able to figure out what happened. Next month on the 15th same deal but this time I connected the dots ! Call me slow with that one but I noticed it has happened twice now the day after I took Fisetin and that had to be it. Next month same thing so I was sure now. I researched and sure enough there is tons of data for eye improvement. And guess what ? The retinal endothelial lining is full of senolytic cells. I posted my results to disagree with with the ITP study and there were many comments of me too ! With noticeable eye improvement. One man said his elderly mother talked about her eye improvement all the time from Fisetin and he thought she was talking crazy stuff and he was going to apologize to her for not believing her. Now I have a good friend who is a supplement pro and she tried it and had no vision improvement results at all. But she used yogurt as a carrier and I used 1 cup of olive oil. ( A David Sinclair trick with supplements that are not bioavailable and Fisetin is very very hard to absorb) I really do not think it was the carrier difference as much as our chemical /metabolic differences. I would suspect 1 out of 10 perhaps 1 out of 50 might get the noticeable eye improvement. By the way with some tweeking now I can get 10 days of that vision and working on getting more. And too unless you use a healthy fat to take it (Fisetin) with (like olive oil) it will not get absorbed into the blood stream. What is a senolytic cell ? Very brief: An old or even diseased cell that's doing more harm than good and fisetin destroys /removes them so good ones can replace them (at least in some mice). Why Genex Brand ? They are one of the best supplement companies out there. They reputation is excellent. Their customer service is outstanding. They third party test all their stuff. They use a GMP facility. Simply said with this company you have nothing to worry about ! Too do notice this is Fisetin from a fermented (yeast I suspect) source. So this is 100% pure stuff. Some companies get theirs from Sumac which in the South we treat that bush as radioactive considering how bad you itch and burn from the leaves. And my stomach hated it. I was getting my Fisetin from boxwood plant sources but now this Genex will be my new go to !Other thoughts: Ok a pet peeve of mine but notice Genex was so transparent they stated "bottled in the USA". All these other supplement companies say made in the USA when hardly no supplement company buys the natural ingredients from the USA and/or that were grown in the USA. Which is why it's so important to get third party tested which Genex does. So thank you Genex for being 100% honest and hopefully this will encourage others to do the same.So for me I personally know it works in my eyes and I hope in other places as well. I plan to stay update with the news on this ingredient to see where it goes from here. When I take these it slightly upsets my stomach for about 10 to 20 minutes but that may be because I am taking so many !?( Now the sumac ones made me sick) These Genex ones from fermented source, my stomach does not seem to mind as much. So that's some data to consider and if you decide to try or add to your stack then of course I recommend this brand as Genex is the best ! I hope this may have been helpful !
