Adapable, comprehensive planner for managing busy family and and work schedule.
I will start off with my one complaint: I wanted a paper based planner that gave me monthly, weekly and daily views. You can set the LuxPro up this way - but if you include a full year of monthly and weekly views - you are limited on space and can't fit in the other available components such as the long-term goal inserts. This is not really a complaint though as I have NEVER found a planner that is so easy to customize to fit my needs and a paper planner that included all of this would need to be the size of a suitcase. I solved the space limitation problem by buying a second LuxPro for tracking long-term goals and some of the other functions available through the various inserts. I remove my used daily pages each month and rotate new ones in so that I have a consistent number of days covered. It is not an exaggeration for me to say that this planner has been life changing!! I had a small paper planner that I had used for more than 10 years in conjunction with the calendar on my iphone/computer. I have noticed, however, that I remember things MUCH better if I go through the process of physically writing them down on paper. No amount of setting iphone reminders seems to match whatever the act of writing something down on paper does in terms of making connections in my brain that keep me focused and on track each day. I NEVER thought I would find a paper planner with the flexibility I need track my demanding work schedule, my children's busy schedules and my husband's work and activity schedule. This planner is the unicorn of planners that I was looking for!! It was totally worth the extra $$ to buy the second one which gives me the space needed for tracking long term goals, progress on specific projects, etc. I don't often leave reviews - but this planner is amazing and just what I was looking for!! I gave it four starts on sturdiness just because I had to add reinforcement to the holes in my monthly pages after about three months of use. I carry one LuxPro with me daily with my three calendar views. I leave the other on my desk and use my phone to take a photo of specific goal or project pages if I need to take that info with me to a meeting or appointment. All of this might sound like a lot of work - but I have been more productive at home and at work since finding this planner. I am getting more done despite the time it takes me to write things out in the planner because I am missing fewer things, focusing on my highest priority tasks, and moving unfinished tasks forward each day until they are completed. This planner would be cumbersome for an individual who functions well using a smartphone calendar and reminders - but that wasn't working for me. Highly recommended for those who do better using pen and paper planners!

Could be a lot better
The quality of the binder and paper and printing are fine, I expect it will hold up as long as I need it to. The purple color is nice. I chose this item over the Clever Fox brand binder because the binder itself seemed bigger and had a pen holder and I also wanted to try the daily planer setup, and if I don’t like it by the end of six months (which is how long this lasts), I can buy the Clever Fox insert or another brand.Cons:*This is a big block of paper with no dividers, you will absolutely need to buy additional dividers or markers or bookmarks to make this more easily accessible. I wish they at least included tab stickers to mark months or other sections. I’m exploring permanent dividers that will work with any set of inserts and match the binder. One of the reasons it is so thick is because the daily planer section is one sided, as in when the section is open, you have one daily planner page and one dot grid page for notes. This isn’t exactly a con, just something to be aware of. If you make a lot of notes every day and like to leave this planner open to the date all day, as I am trying to do, then this may be perfect for you. Otherwise, you might find it a ridiculous waste of space and prefer a daily planner with the daily page on both sides of the sheet, and then perhaps a notes section at the front of the planner for continuous note taking. Regardless, you will need to keep important or permanent notes in a different section, because once you toss the daily pages, bye-bye notes. Something to think about if you’re an agonizer the way I am, apparently.*I don’t like how tiny the monthly layout turned out to be. The whole month is only on one page, leaving very tiny squares for each day, not at all ideal if you’re using this as a family organizer in any way. I find myself looking at other refills just for their two page layouts with notes. You could try to mitigate this problem with dotted notes pages that are on the back of every single page, but this is not ideal at all to me. That’s more time making notes and reference marks, which is avoidable with larger squares and a notes section on the bottom or sides.*There is no quick reference or “this planner belongs to” page, which is bothersome to me in a new planner. I will use a blank note paper to make one for now. Also, there are no contact pages. You will have to make your own out of blank pages, buy some, and obviously you will need a divider. It’s hard to find that perfect planner, but as a starter planner if you’re just trying to get truly organized and on a routine and schedule, then this isn’t bad. I’m not thrilled with the price considering some of the issues mentioned. It’s as if they don’t think people use monthly calendars, which I rely on when making appointments, having the whole month or several months spread in one place in front of me. If you’re using this as an administrator for home or business, maybe continue the search. I will say that a lot of the other reviews are probably only for the binder itself, as their pictures clearly show inserts from other brands, so not all that helpful if you’re shelling out for a complete set to get you going. I’m going to have to spend quite a bit more to make this truly functional and accessible.Hope this is helpful.
