Q: Can anybody please explain why these boxes can't be 1/4 inch bigger to fit a box of tissues?

I agree! Still, I just open up the cardboard from the tissue box, grab a stack, and put them in. It works just fine, but an extra step

The retro embroidery box is brown with some very subtle red in the flowers on it

Q: Does this tissue box cover seal tight? If it were to be carried or moved will it fall open?

I have never had this box bottom flap come open when carrying it. I just picked it up by the top opening and shook it and it’s full and it didn’t open! I don’t think you have anything to worry about. They look as Great as when we received them!

Q: Will the "next" tissue stay sticking out of the box, ready to be grabbed? The box opening looks kind of large so tissues would slip back down.

It will to a certain point, probably like half empty. Plus it will not fit a std tissue box so you literally have to take the tissues out of their box to fit then inside
