I was happy to find that Wamery filters fit my Mavea pitcher
After discovering that Mavea has discontinued its products, I was happy to find that Wamery filters fit my Mavea pitcher. The Wamery filters fit perfectly and the water tastes even better than before. I'm delighted to have found Wamery!

Poor Filtration Rate
This is a terrible product. I thought I would give it a try since Mavea filters are becoming increasingly more expensive. I compared the Wamery alongside an official Mavea filter...two pitchers side by side. Firstly, the Wamery did not seem to effectively wet its filtration materials. After soaking it in water for 15 minutes, no air bubbles came out. This became an obvious problem when the filtration rate was compared with the Mavea. The Mavea had a filtration rate several orders of magnitude faster. I'm guessing the trapped air in the Wamery was inhibiting its flow rate. Based on some of the positive reviews, I suspect potential problems with Wamery are due to hit and miss quality assurance. Furthermore, one of the filters in my pack of three had been opened and was repackaged in stretch wrap. The Wamery is made in China and the Mavea in Switzerland. Need I say more...waving bye bye to Wamery!!

Excellent Water Filters
I already have a Wamery water filter in my pitcher and I think it works really great because the water tastes very good. This was a replacement order so that I could have one available when it is needed.
