yes, they are cotton
-- pictures are not as ordered -- I dyed these.There are a lot of comments saying these are not cotton. Wondering if there used to be an issue with these and now it's fixed? I just purchased some (Nov 2022) and they ARE cotton. I can tell because I bought them for dyeing - if they were polyester, the dye would not have worked on these socks. I dyed up a bunch of them for my kids and they turned out great. My husband tried them on, are a teensy bit snug but wearable. He's a size 12 shoe - I had ordered the mens 10-13 size. Yes, there are some other random fibers in them - the elastic itself, which you can see in between the ribs of the knit. Also, the top edge seems to be some other fiber because it didn't take the dye. Maybe this is what bothered the sensitive-skin people.

Not 100% Cotton
These socks were very thin and definitely not 100% cotton. They were extremely stretchy and felt like polyester. Returning.

Great product.
I liked the individual packaging of each pair of socks. Like the feel of the socks on my feet.

100% Cotton ??
My husband has small feet. They fit perfectly, light weight, but not too sure they are 100% cotton. They do have some stretch too them, and they washed well.

Socks not as advertised although good quality (Adidas).
These socks are nice, but they cannot possibly be 100% cotton. They are really tighter than I wanted and very stretchy. They must be polyester/spandex blend.UPDATE: These socks are NOT Adidas. Also, I like them better after wearing them more. They are good socks (but not 100% cotton).

These socks are amazing ! They truly are cotton ! They let my feet breathe in my boots ! Not padded or anything either which is a must for me ! Great sewing quality and soft, yet stretchy ! Highly recommend these ! They're the most pure cotton socks that I've found out there !

These socks are NOT 100% COTTON
The media could not be loaded. DON'T BUY!these socks are not 100% cotton.They are extremely stretchy, terrible quality and material, also they are small, they have no tags or branding. Obviously some cheap trash probably shipped from China.Even if they were not falsely advertised as 100% cotton they not worth $22! They more like socks from a dollar store.
