I had a project where I was going through a good many of this style connectors, and frankly, the name-brand ones at the big-box stores were starting to break the bank! So I took a chance on these. Right away I was impressed with the quality. Often non-name-brand versions are cheaper because they're production seconds, or produced cheaper by using cheaper materials and variable machining tolerances (throwing in a few rejects in the bag of 10, etc.)**That was not the case here**. These are made of the same materials as the name brands, with precision machining. I spec'ed them all with a digital caliper and got precision measurements on all ten.I've been in a 15-year process of remodeling my home, replacing about 80 of the plumbing, so I've tried lots of different brands, and since I refuse to pay $80 for a pex-crimping tool and refuse to use a torch in my crawlspace, I've stuck with these style of connectors.Four pieces of advice:1) Avoid Blue-Hawk plastic style connectors at all costs!2) If at all possible when using these types of connectors, use a mounting bracket of some kind to secure them in place so that they can 't ever physically be blown off in case of a pressure spike, or expansion through freezing, etc. This comes from experiences I had early on, especially when using the all plastic style connectors.3) No matter what pipe type (these support copper, CPVC, and/or PEX tubing), always de-bur inner and outer edges, then lightly sand the outer circumference of the pipe going into the connector.4) There is a piece of plastic at the ends of these types of connectors. DO NOT REMOVE THAT PIECE. If that piece is missing, do not use the connector. You slide the pipe OVER that piece of plastic when you're pushing the pipe into the connector. What this piece does is account for any angle that you may have introduced when cutting your piece of pipe. This piece basically makes the end of the pipe perfectly perpendicular to the walls of the pipe, which gives a perfect seal. Again this comes from early personal experience where that little piece would fall out when I stored them in a large container, so I'd grab a connector and ignore that missing piece. Without that piece, the connection is almost guaranteed to fail, but it might take YEARS to do so [five years in my case].

Alongside these pushfit tees, I also purchased some pushfit straight couplings. Both the tees and couplings suffered from the same thin flimsy plastic insert sleeve (that goes inside the ID of the tube). This thin sleeve will sometimes get binded up when inserting into the tube, but once you get a hang of it you can proceed without much risk of screwing it up. While the plastic sleeve issue is somewhat obnoxious, and may result in you having to toss one or two, these units are still WAYYY cheaper than the real deal - and work (almost) just as good.

Quick and easy. I use mostly crimp fittings but spent the extra money on these to assemble some new lines attached to some old through floor pvc existing lines in tight spaces because I didn't want to redo my verticle feeds. Pushed on and assembled easy. Not one leak!

This is the only way to go for plumbing crap. I bought them 10 at a time because you never know and I plan to use such in plumbing a building I'm doing. Have the elbows and will get unions too. I think they do as well as the slightly more expensive brands.
