It was a pain to set up and get to work. Only certain apps are compatible because it's an older version of an Android system. Disney plus never worked from day one and now Netflix is no longer compatible with it. So the only way to watch movies and shows is Prime Video or YouTube. Don't waste your money.

Works great on the Sony XAV-X100 in one of my cars, really like the convenience of wireless carplay! The USB connection for that car is in the center armrest and I was always forgetting my phone in the car, not a problem anymore! It's not a particularly powerful head unit to begin with so I didn't notice any slowing of response or performance but maybe compared to hard wired connection on quicker units it might have some lag. Audio quality seems to be same as hard-wired. I was pretty skeptical and honestly expecting to return this but will definitely be keeping it and maybe even picking up another for my other car.Two gripes:- once you pair it with a head unit, it seems to be locked on. I was hoping to switch this between cars but it doesn't want to talk to my other car after being setup in the first one.- You have to unlock your phone (take it out of pocket) for it to connect. even though I set the phone to use carplay while locked, it doesn't seem to connect until I pull it out and look at face ID. not the end of the world but would be nice to just leave the phone in my pocket and have it connect automatically.

I am very happy with my purchase. Been using it for several weeks now. Works flawlessly. I share the car with my daughter. It picks up both phones and you select which one it connects to. No more plugging in the phone. As others have mentioned there is a small delay but it’s barely noticeable when selecting skip forward on music. Navigation seems to be unaffected by the delay. We use it on a 2020 Sentra. Worked right out of the box. No updating was necessary. Just plug it in and it does the rest. Only thing I don’t like and I’m really digging deep on this. It has a flashing green light that lets you know when it’s connected. At night it’s a little annoying. I have it mounted under the dash so it’s not to bad but I can see it bothering others. Piece of black tape would fix the issue. Also it stays on all the time. I kind figured it would shut off with the switch. So if your type c stays hot you’ll need to unplug it if you’re not driving the car for a long period of time. And since it’s always on my phone tends to stay connected to the car when I’m inside the house. So sometimes I don’t have any video volume until I turn off Bluetooth. The antenna reach is insane. But I love it and it does exactly what the description says. Would buy again.

It works well enough, I can see YouTube, Netflix, Disney (via a browser), interface is clunky, you cannot make google maps the entire screen there is always a side screen with latest apps opened, you can however see Movies and Netflix full screen. Touch is slow to respond this is due to a lackluster bottom tier QUALCOMM chipset. Instead of setting screen up as a tablet they did there own thing so you do not have the regular back button close and show all apps, you have to press a floating dot that appears when you touch the screen and touch is severely unresponsive. I have an Android Phone and my wife an Apple, the device gives preference to Apple and makes it difficult to work with my interphase when my wife is in the car with me it continuedly tries to connect to the iPhone. Android does not connect through Bluetooth while Apple does immediately!!! On the plus side, you can install all apps that you want from the play store (Audible, Brave Browser to watch YouTube without commercials etc etc). The image quality is very good albeit with not much backlight, so during a sunny day is hard to watch. Not much bloatware and the device is really small also the addition of the micro SD card is great.

The adapter stopped working in a few months later. Updating doesn't help either.
