Strong enough for my grandchildren safety!!
I like these bars made of iron but does not impede my views. I got the 4 bars intially but they were too low so I got the 8 bars ones and it's perfect!! Items are made of iron, white which has a clean look to it. Once we figured out how to install them outside the sliding windows so we can closed them if needed, it was a breeze to install them. I live in high-rise building and these will give me peace of mind. We screwed them in tight since we're not going to jump out of the windows if fire breaks out God forbid!! Highly recommend!! We had to buy our own screws to fit our needs as the ones included were too long!! Excellent delivery services and no problems with returning 2 of them as I bought too many!! Great company!!

Great for upstairs windows
This is great for those windows that you want open for fresh air, but don't want toddlers or pets falling out of. It's solid enough to lean against without fear of falling through, and the bars are close enough together that a full-grown cat or a grown chihuahua couldn't get out (kittens and small puppies likely could, but they're too small to break through a regular window screen). It's easy enough to set up, and can be padlocked shut for some security, but can be swung open for emergency exits, window washing, etc. It's not super heavy-duty metal, but it would take considerably more effort to get through this window guard than it takes to break a glass window.

Does the trick - affordable
These are good. The bolts are strong and long. They sink in really deep into the windows. I love that they're affordable and do the trick. They're not bulky or flashy.

Buen precio!

You get what you pay for.
If you are buying this as a keep-the-child-inside-the-window guard, you will probably be basically satisfied with the results. The construction is barely strong enough for that purpose, and the assembly is marginal. On the unit I received (fairly on time, one day late) the screw holes were not lined up very well, and one was even drilled right on the edge of the flange, so that it wasn't even surrounded completely by metal, but the hole met the edge. The screws that it comes with are not security screws, but normal phillips heads. They show an example of using a padlock to keep the hinge shut, but the hole provided for one is so close to the windowsill that you will have trouble fitting the shackle through it.Installation for me was fairly easy and straightforward... after I fiddled with it a bit and dry fit everything. So long as you have a decent drill / driver, you'll be OK.As a security / theft deterrent, they are pretty much for decoration. Of course, nothing will stop a determined thief, and at best ANY bars are a time delay, but these wouldn't be much of one. That said, they do serve as a visual deterrent, and I will probably buy one more set for another small window that isn't much of a risk anyway. If you want to use them as security bars AND need a quick emergency egress release, you will probably need to come up with your own, as what is provided with the product is inadequate for this purpose. These are about 1/4 the cost of the security bars that I plan to buy for the large windows in my house, so I bought one to check it out for fit & function. As the old saying goes... you get what you pay for. Chinese craftsmanship at its averagest.

versatile window protection
perfect for my need and able to open up the bars if need be. in an emergency the window it will be installed in maybe the safest way out of the house. sturdy product, price right, came well packaged. I couldn't use a fixed bar window protector because of the window I am installing it on. if you are looking for a window protector that can be opened, look no further. If I remember correctly, several sizes were offered as well.

Not worth the money.
This product seems okay but the absolute crap screws that came with it make it a total waste. They are cheap and two have broken off while screwing them in! Yes, I pre-drilled holes. Without proper screws this product is worthless. I wouldn’t trust these screws to hold this well enough to prevent a child from falling or keeping intruders out! Waste of money!

Me gusto, si volvería a comprar, la compré por seguridad de una hija de 3 años, para que no se caiga.

Security Window Bars
It is easy to install, but a bit weaker, than I expected it to be, but it will be okay.
