Beware of this dealer
Beware! This printer is sold by a dealer. My first printer was defective and I returned it only to be charged a $70 restocking fee! (for a defective unit) I ordered another unit and after a few months it failed. I called and was told that it was out of the window to return it. The Epson warranty is supposed to be 1 year so I contacted Epson Corp customer service. They told me that it was an obsolete model and that I would have to deal with the third party dealer from who I bought it. By this time I was totally frustrated and gave up. I then delt with Epson customer sales direct and was able to buy a comparable new model for considerably less! I also bought an extended warranty for about $25 which gave me a total warranty of two years. I would suggest dealing with Epson direct.

Good printer
Works good. Printing is good and fairly quiet. Good for the price.

just what I needed
The product was exactly as described, only took a few minutes to set up. The only thing I didn't like was I had to pay shipping. It is not a Prime product. Although, I am finding more and more things are not Prime. Just like the Prime TV, almost everything costs extra.

Space age scribe come true!
My old HP printer died recently so I researched new printer. I was disappointed in the new HP inkjets that I looked at. Poor reviews. So I then researched Epson and found this beauty. Fair price at about $100 when I got it and does it all in print, copy, scan and fax. Ink is not as costly as the HP was so that is another plus. Seems well made despite the contemporary usage now a days of plastic material. For home or light office use this is a nice printer.

Chromebook setup
I bought this to replace a failing printer, because of chromebook support and 2 sided printing. I have not used it hardly at all so far (1 day), but others may benefit from my chromebook experience. I did everything right for about 4 hours, over and over, but from the print page, chromebook would deliver the message "can't connect to printer". It detected the printer, but gave no explanation as to the failure. Here is how to set up chrome.Epson Smart Panel works good for finding the IP address, or get it from the printer itself1. Click on Time Icon, click settings Icon2. Scroll to Bottom, click Advanced3. Choose Printers, Epson WF-2930 Series will appear under "Add Printer" or "Your saved printers"4. Edit it --Enter the IP address, with a ":631" appended. It may do this automatically5. Choose IPP protocol6. Save7. do a Cntrl+p to bring up the print page This is where the message "Can't connect to printer" may appear8. Change the destination from WF-2930, to something else. Then change it back. This last step fixed the problem for me. Chromebook SW does something in the Destination select, it does not do in the normal setup.

Hey Epson--How about some customer service? FOUR MONTH UPDATE
I'm about to return this printer because I've had set-up and installation issues. It may be something I can solve, but Epson customer service has been horrible. They cut off a phone call and the email screen doesn't work. I'm sorry I bought this. If I could get some help, I may not have to return, but Epson hasn't helped me.UPDATE: Four months after I submitted this review, it's only fair to update. I finally got somewhat helpful contact from customer service after the original review. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but the printer started working and has worked well since, so this customer is much more satisfied.
