Does the job it is meant for.!!
I ordered this 2 weeks before my Financial analyst's Level 1 exams as i had bought a wrong calc before. it arrived in about 2 days for free delivery. that is quick!!The calculator feels sturdy and durable, heavier than the other casio engineering calculators. The keys need a little hard pressing compared to the engineering calcs, but then it is just a matter of getting used to.They also provide you with about a 200 Page booklet on how to use different functions of the calc. All in all, worth a buy. this definately is better than the other HP calcs around.

Great for CFA Prep, but Lacks a Protective Case
The Texas Instruments BA II Plus Professional Calculator is an excellent tool, especially for CFA prep. The functionality is top-notch, and it’s easy to use once you get the hang of it. The variety of financial functions is a lifesaver for exams and professional use alike. However, I was disappointed that it didn’t come with any protective case or cover for the front. Carrying it in a backpack feels risky since there’s nothing to shield the screen and buttons from damage. A case would have made it much more practical for daily transport.Overall, a fantastic calculator, but the lack of basic protection is a missed opportunity for such a professional tool.

Great calculator
As expected. As other review mentioned, these buttons are a lot more stuff than the regular TI-BA II version. But, I actually like the "click" feeling that you get when you press the button all the way down - and, I feel like it really reassures me that the number was entered in (and I don't have to glance at the screen to check it).I bought it for the CFA exam. I already have the regular version, but it's nice to have two for the exam, just in case you run out of luck and your battery dies. This also has a few useful functions that the regular version doesn't have.

Broken after 11 months
The product took over a month to arrive, and after less than a year will not turn, despite being looked after well. TI customer service told me to "recharge the batteries" after I told them I had tried two replacements, despite the batteries for this model being non-rechargeable. Amazon will only accept returns within 30 days, and I'm currently trying to find out whether the warranty is valid outside of the US. If my exam board did not require this exact model I would stay far away from it at all costs. If nothing else, buy from a reputable, independent seller, who will uphold the warranty.

Does the job but quality is not great
Overall it’s good. Does the job as intended. However, mine had issues after 2 months of use. Where the times button malfunctioned and as of today it completely stopped working. Not sure if it is a battery issue where it needs to be changed but if it is the be aware of that the battery does not last long and it is a good idea to change it before taking the exam for no surprises.

Get two and look smug at the exam =P
Latest model at a reasonable price. Not sure why others complained about the buttons being too stiff, passed my CFA exam without any physical (the jury is still out on the mental one) injury. It also has the net future value and discounted payback period function which the less BA Plus calculator doesn't. It might save you an extra 10-30 seconds at the exam and let's face it, you need every little edge you can get.P.S. Those who prefer HP calc for their CFA actually enjoy pain? /discuss

A great calculator
I received my order within 3 days, an excellent service. As far as the calculator is concerned, there is nothing I can comply about. It includes the users' guidline, which explains everything in a clear way, with illustratons and examples. A great use for any financial analyst (and others interested in financial issues) with all kinds of useful financial and statistical worksheets. I highly recommend this calculator for practitioners.

Solid calculator, excellent for personal finance (and exams)
This model is the best one out of this series from TI (as of 2009). I got this one because it's one of the two designated calculators allowed in the exam I'm taking. As I don't fancy learning the Polish notation so this one fits perfectly. It's a better build calculator than a great many in the world, and keys are logically arranged. Better still it does exactly what it is supposed to do - a great deal of financial calculation. It enables you to work things like amortised mortgage payments, internal rate of return, net present value, and even regressions very easily and quickly, which I'm sure will be essential for my exam. One thing to note is the buttons were slightly stiff in the beginning (like a new shoe), but it got better with the amount I'm using it.
