I was weary to buy because of the reviews, but I had no issues with these! If you drill pilot holes, you’ll be just fine.

Product is a good idea but the plastic is just too rigid and the quality of hardware came with is not safe. I had two screws sheer in half and one screw came warped. I purchased two sets and managed to break four pieces. Like I said it’s a good idea but the plastic does not give at all and it is very brittle. I’m really disappointed now I have to take apart my project and hope that they refund my dough. Don’t waste your time

I am only giving this 3 stars and that is because one broke right away when I was putting in the wood which really surprised me. I still went ahead and built the two teir table, So hopefully it will hold up. I didn't want to wait and have to return all 8 to repair one so I went ahead to finish since I really needed the table but not thrilled that it could brak this easily on day one.

REALLY GREAT IDEA, EASY TO USE BUT IT IS NOT MADE FOR HEAVY USE, NO DOUBT IT IS GREAT FOR LIGHT WEIGHT ITEMS, THE BRACKETS ARE JUST TOO THIN FOR MUCH ABUSE LIKE BUMPING INTO THEM THEY WILL BREAK.

I'm giving it two stars because the joints are covered by the forms which does look neater than if you did not have them but there are other shortcomings. This product is an attempt to make the process of building a bench a little easier and end up with neater product. Unfortunately it does not achieve both of these. In truth you will achieve a stronger and more square product if you buy a box of 3" deck screws and make your cuts on a decent chop saw. The screws provided are way too weak and sheared off during installation (yes I did pre-drill). One of the plastic forms broke on one side during installation, so that side is not against the wall. Yes the joints are hidden which look nicer but the strength of the joints is not as strong as if they were joined directly using a similar screw pattern and not really square since there is play between the 2x4 and the forms. In the end you can just save yourself the money and not get the forms

I planning to purchase a Heavyweight shop kit from the big box store for about 50.00 and this kit was an extra shelf for 15.00 technically the expensive kit looks exactly like the shelf so I plan on purchasing a 2nd one of these and skip the kit and save about 20.00
