Work as advertised.
As I walk I scuff both outside heels. These allowed me to get longer usage out of my work boots, saving me money.

Weak screws
The screws that came with it were weak and either striped the heads out or completely broke off in the shoe even with pre-drilling the holes. The plates themselves were ok. Nothing special. They didn't take long before the were showing a lot of wear and even bending.

Decent product, needs larger size option
Good product, but measure your heel before buying. This doesn't cover the entire heel arc on my size 13 boots.I was asked what type of metal - looks like basic zinc, like the cheaper flat washers from the hardware store.Image shows one I removed after several wears. They seem to hold up all right. I was also asked if they make noise. Sure - flat metal clack.

Mine came with screws.. It should have nails.
The metal seems okay, I haven't had them long enough to tell but it seems quality. But it comes with screws instead of nails and I'm super bummed out about it. I can just imagine trying to get the screws out after the heads wear down to nothing.

Poor quality material, don't buy
I bought these hoping they would extend the life of some expensive walking shoes. They lasted less than a week -- after 15 miles of walking, the metal was ground down so much that the nail heads couldn't hold the plate anymore. While that might suggest a problem with the nails specifically, the metal plates were in pretty bad shape considering they were new. I'd have expected METAL to last a good 50 miles of walking before falling apart! I am guessing these were just imagined to be for tap-dance purposes, and no durability was considered in the choice of such soft material.
