Good optics, high powered, very big and heavy.
Good optics. Good magnification. Good for astronomy. Can be used for bird watching in the garden but will not focus on objects closer than 20 meters. They are huge and quite heavy and hence not suited to carrying on a country walk.

Powerful binoculars
Bit heavy but perfectly stable on a tripod. Large objective lenses give a great field of view.

Great Binoculars.
I bought these as a gift for my husband who has a telescope but it is rather bulky. These are a great spec and are large. He says that a tripod is useful when using them. He may need other accessories to locate stars, etc but is waiting until he has got used to them before deciding. Absolutely superb item.

Superb bins; bright and clear.
Superb. They pick out all the detail on the Moon that the photos in my Moongazing for Idiots book show.If you're built like the proverbial, they can be used without a tripod for scenic views, yachts and ships etc, but even for a hefty unit like myself, I'm happy giving my arms a rest every now and then, and when I do hold them up I find it useful to tuck my arms in so that my elbows are resting on my torso to create a quasi support frame. Most people I'm sure would be more comfortable with a tripod, especially for astronomy - I use a Hama Star 63, available from all good Amazon outlets near you. Handheld for astronomy with these is a complete no-no - Jupiter simply refuses to stay put and be observed.Easily focusable, and the tripod mount can be adjusted laterally to get a good balance before tightening everything up.

Celestron SkyMaster Pro 20x80
Very clear views of the moon and also able to see Jupiter and it's four moons. They can be used without tripod but you need a very steady had. Bought a tripod to mount them on and also the celestron finderscope. Once mounted viewing is nice and stable. The binoculars are very large but no too heavy. Views are crystal clear once the diopters are set up then dial in the focus wheel. Definitely a good purchase.

Really good images
My first Astro-binos and I am delighted. You do need a tripod for them though as they are heavy. Image quality is excellent and i only wish we had more clear skies! Easy to use and the only gripe I have is that the case they come with is very flimsy - a more sturdy case would be better to protect the binos.
