Dynamode USB-SOUNDCARD2.0 USB 2.0 Sound Card

I was getting no sound output from my computer, just a lot of noise. I traced the problem to the on-board sound, so not wanting to buy a new PCI sound card for an old computer, I thought it worth a couple of quid to see if this would fix the problem. I plugged it into the front USB and connected my headphones and it worked! The noise is still there, but at least I am getting the sound signal now. So I'll be OK to use this old PC for a while longer. Ny only criticisms are that:-1. The weight of this, plus the plugs and cables, put a lot of strain on the USB socket. It sticks out a long way, so no good if you want to plug it in the back and situate it close to a wall. Also quite worrying if you plug it into the front where it could easily be knocked by someone passing.2. The sound is very tinny and thin, but you can't really grumble for the price.

I've had a small and cheap USB dongle before of another brand and it let me down because it was stuck at one volume and wouldn't change. I wasn't expecting something great from another cheap dongle then but was bouyed by the reviews.This dongle is every bit as great as you hope it will be. First of all the sound quality through my big JBL Spot speakers is excellent and most importantly the dongle installed in Windows 7 straight away and without problem and the volume control works just as it should.Don't consider any other dongle... buy this one! You won't be disappointed :)

This very cheap sound card substitute is OK, but there are some quircks:- First, the left and rear channels are reversed (How could they fail to notice?)- This product is limited to stereo with a 48,000 Hz sampling frequency (the default for DVDs, but not good for CDs or streaming as everything has to be resampled). It's OK for monitor speakers, but borderline otherwise. Motherboards are likely to have better on-board sound these days (but my server had no on-board sound...)Products like the Behringer UCA202, while more expensive, are really in a different league (sound quality, features, etc.) yet remain very competitive.

This little USB sound card seemed like a lifesaver, at only a couple of quid i thought i was on a lucky streak and to some degree i was. The USB sound card was installed straight away, and after some fiddling with the settings i got it set up just how i wanted it in less than ten minuets. However the virtual surround is rubbish, but the 2.0 sound saves the day, leaving a good sound that only lacks a little in bass. There is just one other minor problem, although it works with a Mic the sound is very metallic and not to clear, but for the price this came expected and i am very happy with this buy. Hope this helps.

A little low in volume but its much slimmer that the photo so sits nicely beside an obnoxiously large wifi dongle. I had to find a sweet spot of plugging in my jack (4/5ths in) but it totally does its job. Prompt delivery, no set up.Update: Made of lego, literally fell apart on its own without even a knock. Cheap bit of trash that did the job for a while.

My brand new Windows 10 laptop didn't come with a microphone input (sometimes I'm not convinced technological change actually equates to progress!) Bought this and now it's got one. Works as expected. Just plug it in.
