Best Monopod & Almost Perfect
This is hands down one of the best monopods I ever owned. The carbon fiber build quality makes it feel like it will last forever.Pros:- Lightweight- Sturdy- The quick height adjustment feature is God-sentCons:- I just wish it was a bit taller. However, YC Onion also sells an extension piece for it.

Useless because of one detail.
Listen I have the footage surui and both the yc onion tripod and monopod but this monopod is a dream come true except their worthless proprietary mini legs and especially the ball head render the product useless the ball head mechanism hasn't locked since day one so sure it opens up fast but it also will fall and break your camera if you don't have your hands stabilising what was supposed to stabilize for me…. Same thing with the pineta peak tripod brilliant design for the entire thing but the half bowl is a hot mess that looks like they used elmers glue on the interior mechanism its not even solid the glue is still liquid and the half bowl stopped locking after a week its like they design the best tripod monopod combo I have ever seen but they skimp on one think that makes at least the monopod useless the tripod is fine just use a different bowl but the monopod is a beautiful useless piece of junk. Do not buy it until they fix the cheap legs and ball.

Super fast to adjust height, quality manufacturing
I have purchased both SE aluminum and Carbon versions of this monopod. I must say, Pineta is the fastest monopod to use for photography, birding, or safari. You can make rapid changes in its height, so Pineta sits in a sweet spot when you need stable optical platform but also need to move fast to catch the action. Good job by the product design team!Interestingly SE aluminum and Carbon Fiber are both almost the same weight and size. SE aluminum does not come with FEISOL quick release plates at top and bottom. Carbon has FEISOL QR plates, but this makes it as heavy as the aluminum version.Overall machining quality of the satin-polished controls, FEISOL plates, and quality feel is fantastic. How to choose between Carbon vs Aluminum versions: Carbon version is quieter. If you photograph church, weddings, or elusive wildlife you should go for Carbon. Otherwise aluminum would do just fine for all other uses.

Ball head on the bottom does not fully lock the monopod
Is this normal? I fully tighten the ballhead at the bottom but if I place my foot on one of the legs I can still lean the monopod in any direction.

Fantastic Monopod
I shoot real estate amongst other things. I purchased this monopod to support my camera mounted on a DJI Gimbal system. I place the gimbal system with the camera on the monopod. I can stand in one location and shoot bracketed photos and then use the gimbal to pan the room for video, all from one location using this monopod. It handles the weight of all that equipment with no problem. I can let go of the monopod and use the feet to stabilize the camera equipment and not have the legs in the photos when using a wide-angle lens.

This thing is a breeze
Love the carbon fiber build; very sturdy! The quick resizing system is best in class and SO MUCH better than unscrewing 2 or 3 collars just to raise or lower.I mount my Zhiyun Crane 4 gimbal on the monopod and pop off the tripod feet for an awesome underslung rig duo. Loving it!

Do not purchase this product
If you are a professional videographer you cannot trust this product. YC Onion will not validate their warranty, when the lever stops working. Quality control on this product is awful, and their customer service is by far the worse. Do yourself a favor and do not put your trust in this brand.
